Anima-November Rescue (1937-Halle)!

<11-11-2017> 1927-Halle (F), around eight years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th November 2017, after a call from Ms. Lok reporting that she saw a dog, 1927-Halle, tied to a poll in a street in Coloane. 1927-Halle has a big lump on her abdomen with thin legs. She had microchip. As so, we will deliver her to IACM for the owner to be punished and ask IACM to help her. Meanwhile, 1927-Halle was sent to a clinic and stayed  under observation. Thanks Ms. Lok! Anima-Esther Needs a New Home!

We were informed by the adopter that the family is moving to Hong Kong at the end of November and asked if we could collect her back to our Shelter. Anima-October Rescue (C1731-Bruce)!

<22-10-2017> C1731-Bruce (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd October 2017, after a call from Ms. Chu saying that her relative has to stay in hospital for long time due to severe injury and nobody takes care of the cat in her house. Ms. Chu asked us for help. According to Ms. Chu the cat C1731-Bruce has been starving for days and she only started giving him some bread two days ago. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. He is fine but a bit skinny. He is staying in our Cat's Paradise now. Please help us to help them! Don't be Cruel to your pets! Not feeding them properly is cruelty! Anima-June Abandonment (1564-Laurel)!

<30-06-2017> 1564-Laurel (F), 1562-Larrie, 1563-Lora and 1565-Losa, were rescued by Anima on 21st October 2015, after a call from Ms. Chong referring that 1562-Larry was stuck under the floor board near Ka-Ho barbeque site and asked if we could help. The fire department and the police were also called and they asked us to save the puppies. Laurel was adopted on 22nd December 2015. We were informed by IACM on 26th June 2017 that Laurel was caught in Estr. Marginal da Ilha Verde on 12th June 2017. The excuse of the adopter is that he asked his friend to return Laurel to us but his friend didn’t do it and also gave the dog away. The adopter told us he would pick up Laurel in IACM and take her home. But IACM just informed us this morning that the adopter went to IACM to complete the abandonment procedure. Anima–June Rescue (C1381, C1601, C1602)!

<18-06-2017> C1381-William (M), together with C1601-Blacky (F) and C1602-Flyer (M), all around three years old, were rescued by Anima on 18th June 2017, after a call from Ms. Mui reporting that she couldn’t keep her cats anymore. C1381-William and C1382-Harry were first rescued by Anima on 13th January 2017, after a call from Ms. Mui reporting that she couldn’t keep her two cats temporarily. According to Ms. Mui, she used to rescue dogs in the street and had rented a place to put the dogs, but  the owner got the place back so she had to put all the dogs inside her house. Her two cats couldn’t get along well with the dogs, and she had no more space to separate them. William and Harry stayed in our Cat’s Paradise temporarily. May Abandonment and Return (C332, C334 and C609)!

<28-05-2017> C332-Basha, C334-Hoover and C609-Grita, were rescued by Anima on 9th April 2012, 11th April 2012 and 19th October 2013, respectively, and adopted on 20th May 2012 (Basha and Hoover) and 17th January 2014 (Grita) by the same adopter. The first two were rescued through Michele and the third one was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Ao. They are now sending back to Anima as the adopter informed us that her daughter's asthma was becoming stronger and she was told by her doctor to give them away. They were brought to Anima today and checked by our vet. They were all neutered and had received the annual vaccination. They are staying in C22 for few days for adaptation to the new environment and calm down. We disagree with this abandonment. These cats will have a lot of difficulties to adapt to an environment full of cats,...

Anima – May Abandonment and Rescue (1629-Keira)!

<18-05-2017> 1620-Ibbie was rescued by Anima on 6th January after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that Ibbie was pregnant and living in a construction site in Coloane. On 12th January 2016, she gave birth to eight puppies, 1629-Keira, 1630-Kole, 1631-Kylee, 1632-Skye, 1633-Stammi, 1634-Sorrel, 1635-Bonzel and 1636-Bliss, four males and four females. 1629-Keira was adopted on 12th January 2016 and after abandoned in the kennel. The owner informed us that his landlord does not allow him to have dogs at home. He placed Keira in a pet shop and as this was very expensive he contacted us. We asked him to put Keira in kennel first as we will collect her as soon as we find a way to invent a space. We collected Keira today. She is staying in V0 during night time and is being socialized in Pen 29 during day time ! We are completely full! Never Abandon...

Anima–May Return and Abandonment (C812-Phoebe)!

<03-05-2017> C812-Phoebe (F), C813-Perry and C814-Paddy were found on 17th October 2014 at Av. do Oceano. Their mother has passed away. Phoebe was adopted on 9th November 2014! The adopter brought C812-Phoebe to our dog shelter this morning, claiming that  because of her divorce nobody is able to take care of C812-Phoebe anymore. Phoebe is now six years and eight months old! C812-Phoebe was checked by our vet and de-wormed. She is staying in C11 temporarily to adapt to the new environment as she is very scared. Anima – April Abandonment (1629-Keira)!

<28-04-2017> 1620-Ibbie was rescued by Anima on 6th January 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that Ibbie was pregnant and living in a construction site in Coloane. On 12th January 2016, she gave birth to eight babies, 1629-Keira, 1630-Kole, 1631-Kylee, 1632-Skye, 1633-Stammi, 1634-Sorrel, 1635-Bonzel and 1636-Bliss, four males and four females. Keira was adopted on 12th January 2016 and now abandoned in IACM! By the new law, and we disagree, this is not an abandonment! We understand that the idea was to avoid animals to be abandoned in streets! However this decision will facilitate the life of the owner, as he is not heavily fined, but not the life of the animal, our life and the life of IACM! Anima–Abandonment (1869-Aka)!

<31-03-2017> 1869-Aka (F), around two years old was rescued by Anima on 31st March 2017. She was thrown over our main gate to pen 20A, and happily she stayed over the ceiling of our dogs’ houses, otherwise she could be killed by the other six dogs that we have there. As we have a cooperation with IACM we decided to put her there  until we are capable to find a space for her, which is very difficult. However, there is a risk for her being in IACM!  Some people is trying to cheat us thinking that we will do Anima as a big warehouse of animals! Wrong! We will not do this as this is not good for the animals under our protection and is not good for any animal! We are not a collector of animals! We don't cage!
