Anima–April Sad News (265-Eva)!

<05-04-2022> 265-Eva (F), one of our senior dogs, had been sick and blood tests were done, revealing an infection and anemia. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, 265-Eva has a tumor on the neck and the intestine is swollen and inflamed. Unfortunately, her condition would continue to deteriorate. Following veterinary advice and consent given by several Anima board members, she was euthanized in the clinic to shorten her agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (SPP1500-Otto)!

<04-04-2022> SPP1500-Otto (M), around 10 years old now, has been under our SPP program since 16th July 2015, in Hac Sa Beach (Coloane). Otto received medical support by Anima, on 3rd April 2022, when our rescue team noticed that he was unable to stand on his own. He was hospitalized due to a tumor on his bladder. Unfortunately, Otto’s condition would continue to deteriorate, and surgery would not help much to keep his wellbeing, according with vets. Following veterinary advice and consent given by several Anima board members, he was euthanized in the clinic to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (667-Ginger)!

<01-04-2022> Sadly, our senior dog 667-Ginger has passed away. Ginger was 12 years old and had been living in our shelter since 2011. Recently, he was hospitalized due to a tumor. Unfortunately, his condition continued to deteriorate. Anima–March Sad News (C2702-Odin)!

<24-03-2022> The body of a cat, C2702-Odin (M), around one year old, was picked up by Anima on 24th March 2022, after one of our volunteers from Melco Resorts and Entertainment informed us that they just saw a dead cat near seaside in Coloane Centre before coming to our Cats’ Paradise. Our rescue team staff talked to a lady who’s living in the area, who said that recently some cats were attacked by dogs and died nearby. Odin’s body will be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! <24-03-2022> C2703-Emma (F), around five months old, was rescued by Anima on 24th March 2022, after a call from Ms. Ho asking for help as she found a kitten, C2703-Emma, laying in the middle of the road with blood surrounding the body in Rua de S. Anima–March Sad News (605-Yogi)!

<13-03-2022> Sadly, our senior dog 605-Yogi has passed away. Yogi was almost 12 years old and had been living in our shelter since 2010. Recently, he was hospitalized due to heart problem with Pericardial Effusion. A Pericardiocentesis was performed to remove the fluids surrounding the heart of Yogi. This morning, however, his condition continued to deteriorate and the Pericardial Effusion has returned. Following veterinary advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Yogi was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Sad News (378-Fogo)!

<08-03-2022> 378-Fogo (M), one of our eldest dogs, had been in Anima for long time. Recently, he got sick and cannot stand on his own. 378-Fogo was sent to a vet clinic for treatment. According with the vet, he had a Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus and needed emergency surgery. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, he did not survive, and his body will be delivered in IAM. Anima–February Sad News (SPP723-Yi Pou)!

<22-02-2022> SPP723-Yi Pou (F), around 11 years old and our SPP dog since 26th February 2011, she was rescued by Anima on 17th February 2022 from IAM (Macau Kennel). They asked for our collaboration. Yi Pou was picked up by our rescue team and sent to a clinic for consultation. SPP723-Yi Pou was hospitalized. Unfortunately, and despite our efforts, she did not survive, and her body will be delivered in IAM to get her ashes later. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
