Anima–April Sad News (H038-Strawberry)!

06-04-2020 8 Hamsters, H031-Apple (F) and H032-Cherry (M), both around 3 months old, H033-Blue Berry (F), H034-Cranberry (M), H035-Raspberry (F), H036-Lychee (F), H037-Plum (F), H038-Strawberry (F), all around one month old, they were rescued by Anima on 27th January 2020, after we received a message from a 12 years old youngster, Keiji Kester Go Celestina on Facebook telling that he couldn’t take care of his 28 hamsters anymore because they breed a lot and always fighting. He asked us to help. We collected 8 female hamsters first and later 20 males as we didn’t have enough cages. All of them stay in Anima. H038-Strawberry passed away today in Anima due to difficult breathing and a possible heart failure. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (558-Chi Ma)!

<03-04-2020> 558-Chi Ma (M), around eight years old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2012 and has been with us until now. Recently, he was found bleeding from his nose. After a blood test and an X-ray, the results showed that Chi Ma has a very high infection due to an inflammation inside of his nose. 558-Chi Ma was sent to a clinic for further examination. Results revealed that his right nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses has malignant tumors. According to the vet, surgery is not recommended due to the invasiveness of the surgery, unpleasant recovery period and might have a fast reoccurrence of tumor burden. Chi Ma was suffering from Cancer. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made the sad decision to put him sleep. Anima–April Sad News (354-Nana)!

<02-04-2020> 354-Nana (F), around nine years old now, was rescued by Anima on 11th November 2011 and has been with us until now. Recently, she was found having watery diarrhea and refusing to eat. Blood test results showed that she has an infection and kidney problems. Nana was not getting better and she was sent to a Clinic for further examination. According to the vet team, she had also dilated cardiomyopathy which was severe heart problem resulting in abdominal fluid with blood and could compromise her recovering. 354-Nana passed away today in the clinic due to a heart failure. Anima–April Sad News (C1165-Cowie)!

<01-04-2020> C1165-Cowie (M), around two years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 17th April 2016, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that there was a cat always coming from the terrace of the building where she lives. Anima lent a container to Mr. Chui to catch the cat because he was living on 5th floor and used to feed the cats in terrace. Mr. Chui caught C1165-Cowie and he has been in Anima since then. Nowadays, C1165-Cowie was seen with yellowish eye discharge, lethargic and also dehydrated. He was sent to a Clinic for consultation. Exams and an X-ray showed an abnormality in his intestine suggesting that Cowie has an intussusception and surgery was needed. On 31st March 2020, Cowie was getting worse as his body had low temperature. He had twice seizures and LAC due to a possible liver failure, according to the vets. C1165-Cowie passed away today...

Anima–March Sad News (309-Amy)!

<24-03-2020> 309-Amy (F) was rescued by Anima on 10th November 2011 and she has been with us until now. On 8th July 2019, 309-Amy was sent to a veterinary clinic for a three days treatment once she had a clinical history of heart murmur, quite severe pancreatitis, inflammation on part of intestine, gallbladder and a mild jaundice. On 19th February 2020, she went back to a clinic for consultation. Results of an x-ray revealed that she has also megaesophagus. 309-Amy stood hospitalized for some days, discharged from the clinic on 23rd February 2020 and returned to us. Anima–March Sad News (C1945-Elsa)!

<19-03-2020> C1945-Elsa (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 29th July 2018 and was found by our staff at the entrance of Cats’ Paradise inside a cat bag. She has been with us since her rescue. Yesterday, C1945-Elsa was found dehydrated, not eating and with low temperature. She was sent to our clinic and stood under veterinary care. C1945-Elsa passed away today in our Cats’ Paradise. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Sad News (FM004-Evelyn)!

<18-03-2020> A Family of three fancy mouses, the mother, FM001-Haisley (F), around one year old; the father, FM002-Harper (M), around one year old and the baby, FM003-Eesley (F), around 3 months old, were rescued by ANIMA on 7th March after a call from Mr. Lao reporting that he found three fancy mouses abandoned near a public garbage bin at R. Nova da Areia Preta (Nam Wa San Chun). He asked us to help. FM001-Haisley, FM002-Harper and FM003-Eesley were separated because the mother was pregnant. On 16th March 2020, FM001-Haisley gave birth to FM004-Evelyn. The baby passed away today in our Dog Shelter. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Sad News (SPPC2287-Lollie)!

<18-03-2020> SPPC2287-Lollie (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2020, through Ms. Michelle. On 17th March 2020, SPPC2287-Lollie was sent to a clinic for consultation. The results showed higher index levels of her kidney compounds, she was anemic and she had an infection. Today, she passed away in Cats’ Paradise due to a suspected heart attack. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–March Sad News (897-Haily)!

<13-03-2020> 897-Haily (F), around nine years old now, was rescued by Anima after a call from IACM reporting that there was a group of 25 dogs living in the same house. Those dogs have been given birth between themselves and generally they are not healthy pets. Haily was welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter since then. On 10th March 2020, 897-Haily was a little lethargic, having eyes discharge and watery nose as well. She made a blood test where the results showed that she was anemic with blood infection, high index levels on kidney and liver. 897-Haily was sent to a clinic for consultation once she was unable to move by herself. She had Septicemia, as bacterial infection in the bloodstream causes inflammation in the body and also facing a life-threatening complication.
