Anima-April Rescue (B209-Skippy)!

<19-04-2021> B209-Skippy, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 19th April 2021, after being found by one of our staff member reporting that there was a dove sitting on the ground in our Cats’ Paradise. There is a nest on a tree nearby, but it was high to put him back. The baby dove, B209-Skippy, was sent to IAM and they will inform us later as soon as B209-Skippy is recovered and ready to be released. Thanks, IAM! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-April Rescue and Return (SPP2311, SPP2312)!

<19-04-2021> SPP2310-Myra (F), SPP2311-Myrna (F) and SPP2312-Myron (M), all around one month old by the time, were registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 5th November, 2020. It was reported then that three puppies were wandering near Hac Sa Beach. The mother dog was always in the mountains and it was very difficult to approach. Two dogs, SPP2311-Myrna and SPP2312-Myron, would eventually stay under the responsibility of some volunteers working near the beach. Myrna and Myron, now around seven months old, were rescued by Anima today, neutered in a private clinic and returned to their former area after surgery. Anima-Social Service Team of M.U.S.T. visited us!

<18-04-2021> We were visited by 60 people today, including a visit from the Social Service Team of Macau University of Science and Technology. Several students volunteered at our shelters: 16 at Dogs’ Shelter and nine at Cats’ Paradise. We are grateful for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima–April Rescue (C2574-Carson)!

<17-04-2021> C2574-Carson (M), a cat around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 17th April 2021, following a facebook message from Ms. Lio reporting to have seen a cat near the Mail Exchange Centre at Estrada de D. Maria II. Carson was seen several times in the past few weeks wandering around different locations and Anima has been trying to rescue him since March, 7th. Our Rescue Team managed to rescue him today using a cat trap. Carson was immediately sent to a private clinic for consultation. Blood Test results were normal and he’s considered healthy. Anima–April Sad News (B208-Small)!

<14-04-2021> B208-Small, a baby bird, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2021, after receiving a call from Ms. Hong reporting that there is a small bird, B208-Small all wet and not moving between the ally of Edf. Jardim Hoi Wan, Taipa. Ms. Hong also mentioned that before the bird, there were some students throwing something over that area and later, after they left, she saw the little bird. Our rescue team sent B2087-Small to a clinic for consultation. B208-Small will stay in the clinic under medical care until being able to fly again. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, he did not survive, and his body will be collected to be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-Rotaract Club of Macau University visited us!

<14-04-2021> Today, we were visited by 34 people, of which 21 were students from Rotaract Club of Macau University. All of them had the opportunity to interact with our hamsters, fancy mouses and dogs at our Dogs’ Shelter. Fortunately, Anima also got a donation of dog dry food. Anima–April Sad News (C2573-Hero)!

<12-04-2021> C2573-Hero (M), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 12th April 2021, after a call from an individual volunteer, Ms. Fong, reporting that C2573-Hero was found in an abandoned house at Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro and was not able to move at all. He was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. X-ray results showed that he has a rupture inside his body and an internal hemorrhaging of fluids in his abdomen. Hero also lost his capacity of controlling other vital organs. It was also considered the hypothesis to euthanize him to end the pain. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, he did not survive, and his body will be collected to be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (C1817-Shan)!

<12-04-2021> C1817-Shan (M), around five months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 3rd January 2018, after a call from Mr. Tam reporting that a cat was trying to crawl into his storeroom and the cat seems sick or injured. C1817-Shan was sent to a clinic as he could not move his legs. X-ray did not show any fracture. The vet suspected that C1817-Shan fell from a building and hurt the nerves. He was in the clinic until recover and be welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, C1817-Shan got sick, and he was refusing to eat. He was sent to the clinic. According with the vet, he might have liver and kidney problems. Symptoms and health exams’ results showed higher suffering. It was also considered the hypothesis to euthanize him to end the pain.
