Anima – Please read our letters and be inside our fights!

Anima has decided from the first beginning to have its opinion over animal welfare in a “black and white” way! We mean, studying and discussing all the issues, writing and giving our opinions in order to facilitate to our Authorities the best decisions. Unfortunately we have to confess, we are not being properly listened! However, this is our way to fight against the cruelty environment surrounding our animals! We are not against the community that goes to the streets and uses this way to fight for what they think is the most appropriate way to succeed! May be this is the most effective way, but this is not our way! In many events, like the event that will happen on 30th April we have even not been invited to co-organize! Anima – April Rescue (SPPC1160-Velvet)!

SPPC1160-Velvet (F), was rescued by Anima through Michele on 25th April 2016, after a call from her reporting that SPPC1160-Velvet was found in Taipa vomiting blood this morning. She was sent to a clinic. She was dehydrated and did a blood test and X-Rays. SPPC1160-Velvet needs to stay overnight in the clinic for observation. Thanks Ms. Michele! Please help us to help them! Macau University of Science &Technology Visited Us!

Today, 42 people visited us, 19 of them were students from Macau University of Science and Technology! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to March 2016, Anima received 1,918 visitors, an increase of 8.61% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased 21.43% to 17 groups! Today someone went to Anima to pay us MOP 5,000.00 as a result a Macau Court sentence! During the last years Anima was happy to receive from people sentenced by our Courts the total amount of MOP 58,500.00. Thank you Macau Court! Please help us to help them! Please pay attention: Never donate to us in cash without asking an official, numbered and chopped receipt, unless your donation is inserted by you in one of our donation boxes! This doesn't mean that we do not trust our staff! This means only that we have strict rules that our staff is not allowed to break. Anima – April Rescue (SPP1710-Mui Chui II)!

SPP1710-Mui Chui II (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 23rd April 2016, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng informing that she was found pregnant somewhere in Coloane. Mui Chui II is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). An ultrasound showed that the fetus are already approx. seven weeks old. So we decided for keeping the puppies! Anima – April Adoption (C1122-Crackie)!

C1122-Crackie was adopted on 23rd April 2016, by Ms. Ao! C1122-Crackie, around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 15th February 2016, after a call from Ms. Vanessa reporting that a female cat was found shaking, with a big belly and skin problems in a street somewhere in Macau. Our rescue team went to the site and found the female cat and two other kittens in a car park nearby. According to an employee of the car park, the cats have been living inside the car park together since a week ago. He asked us to collect the cats. We set a cat trap and one of the kittens C1122-Crackie was rescued. Thanks Ms. Ao! Anima – April Rescue (C1175-Valentina)!

C1175-Valentina (F), around eight years old, was rescued on 22nd April 2016, after a call from Mr. Fernando around 9:30 pm, reporting that she was found in Estrada do Coelho do Amaral and she was extremely dehydrated, full of fleas and very weak. C1174-Bella (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd April 2016, after a call from Mr. Andrii, informing that he can’t take care of C1174-Bella anymore as he will go back Europe very soon. Anima – April Return to Anima (1607 and 1608)!

1607-Eerika (F) and 1608-Eemeli (M), both already de-sexed, were rescued by Anima on 20th December 2015, after a call from Mr. Hoi reporting that a pair of German Weimaraner dogs, were living in his construction site at Estrada de Hac. According to Mr. Hoi, 1608-Eemeli was limping since few months old due to an accident. He need to  pay very high attention to them in that area as they were always going to the road. They were abandoned by someone when they were three months old. According to Mr. Hoi, the original owner bought them in Germany for the equivalent of around HKD 25,000 each. Later, Anima decided to send them together to the Coloane Kennel, to be under our staff supervision, in order to allow us to save other animals, as we were short of space.
