Anima-August Rescue (SPP2386-MiMi)!

<05-08-2021> SPP2386-MiMi (F), around one year old, became under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 26th July 2021, under Mr. Io's responsibility. Today, MiMi was sent to a clinic to desex and received a cherry eye surgery. A blood test was done in the clinic, and she is healthy enough to receive the surgery. Anima will help with the neutering surgeries and promotion for adoption. Hope we can find a new home for her! Please help us to help them! Anima-New SPP dogs (from SPP2380 to SPP2388)!

<26-07-2021> Nine dogs were registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP) today: SPP2380-Dong Dong (F), around three years old; SPP2381-Michael (M), around six years old; SPP2382-Runny Nose (M), SPP2383-Lubby (F), SPP2384-Paco (F), SPP2385-Happy (F) and SPP2386-MiMi (F), all around one year old; as well as SPP2387-Billy (M), four years old and SPP2388-Chung Chung (F), 17 years old. We received a call from the owner of the dogs, Mr. Io, seeking our help as he has lost his job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is struggling to take care of them. Runny Nose, Lubby, Paco Happy, and MiMi were born by the mother Dong Dong and father Michael (F) in June, 2020. These seven are of Cane Corso bread, an intelligent, active, independent breed which demands a certain care, as they can grow up to be 60 Kg. Anima–July Rescue (C2600-Ballon)!

<25-07-2021> C2600-Ballon (M), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 25th July, 2021. Anima was contacted by CPSP at 4:18am reporting that a cat had fallen from a high-rise window into a balcony at ‘The Residencia Macau’. Ballon was rescued by our team in critical condition and immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed internal bleeding and a spleen rupture. Sadly, he would pass away in the clinic at 10:05am. R.I.P.! The owner recognized the cat and confirmed he fell out from an open window in her house. The body of C2600-Ballon was collected by IAM for autopsy to determine the cause, mode and manner of death. The owner was punished by a fine in accordance with the Animal Protection Law of Macau. Anima–July Rescue (C2597-Star)!

<19-07-2021> C2597-Star (M), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 19th July 2021, after received a call from Mr. Tang referring that he saw a very skinny kitten with eyes closed yesterday evening around 6:30p.m., inside his building. After two hours the kitten was still there, so. Mr. Tang took the kitten inside a card paper box in front of his flat, but he cannot take care of the kitten. He asked us help. Our rescue team sent him directly to a clinic for treatment. In a very bad shape and health conditions, C2597-Star was hospitalized to stay under medical care. Thanks, Mr. Tang! Anima–July Rescue (C2595-Gonzales)!

<14-07-2021> C2595-Gonzales (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 14th July 2021, after Mr. Quito brought a kitten inside a paper box to our Cats’ Paradise, saying that he found the kitten lying outside the restaurant La Gondola on Escadaria da Praia de Cheoc Van, and he might have been hit by a car. He asked us help. The kitten was sent directly to a clinic for treatment. With an upper respiratory infection and a fracture on his right thigh, 2595-Gonzales will be hospitalized to stay under medical care. Thanks, Mr. Quito! Please help us to help them! Anima–July Rescue (C2594-Romeo)!

<12-07-2021> C2594-Romeo (M), around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 12th July 2021, after received a call from Ms. Santos reporting that she saw a cat, C2594-Romeo lying on the road at Beco do Tabaco and he was unable to move. She placed C2594-Romeo inside a carton box and asked us to help. C2594-Romeo was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. Blood Test was done, and results revealed that he has an acute renal failure. According to the vet, there are many causes of it in dogs and cats, including bacterial or viral infection, toxins or poisons, cancer, crystal, or stone formation within the kidneys. C2594-Romeo also has a poor prognosis. Hospitalization with intensive fluid therapy is required, so. He will be hospitalized in the clinic under medical care. Thanks, Ms. Santos! Anima-July Rescue (SPP2373, SPP2374)!

<03-07-2021> Three dogs under our SPP program received assistance from Anima on 19th June 2021. SPP2373-Aerobic (M), SPP2374-Queen (F) and SPP2375-MoMo (F), all between two and three years old, live in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng's responsibility. They were registered under our SPP program the day before, when Mr. Ng has asked us for help as Aerobic showed up with a head injury. Queen and MoMo also have health issues and have been losing weight. Our team managed to rescue Aerobic and Queen and sent them to a clinic. The wounds of Aerobic were treated and he returned to his original site after consultation. SPP2374-Queen, however, had severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. She tested positive for Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. Anima-June New SPP Dog (SPP2376-Sai B)!

<30-06-2021> SPP2376-Sai B (F), around one year old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 30th June 2021. She was under Ms. Chan’s responsibility since 26th June 2021, in the construction site at Povoação de Lai Chi Vun. Anima helped with food and sterilization surgery to prevent pregnancy.
