Anima-March Rescue (C2545-Jesse)!

<11-03-2021> C2545-Jesse (M), around three years and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 11th March 2021, after received a call from Ms. Lei asking for help as she found a sick kitten, crying a lot on the street in Coloane Village near the Government Health’s Center. Our rescue team went to the place where they found the kitten hiding under a flat staircase which had a net to prevent people from going in, but the kitten was small enough to enter and exit. Anima-March Rescue (2352-Coolio)!

<11-03-2021> 2352-Coolio (M), around two years and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 11th March 2021, after one of our staff members reported that a light-yellow dog entered in our carpark. Later, the dog jumped into our garden in Cats’ Paradise, staying between the fences and wooden boards alone. 2352-Coolio has no microchip, he is quite friendly and was welcomed to Anima. Anima-March Rescue (SPP2345-Ruii)!

<11-03-2021> SPP2345-Ruii (F), a dog around three years old, is now registered on our Special Protection Program (SPP). She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in Parque Industrial da Concórdia and Anima provided a spay surgery to prevent her from getting pregnant. Anima-March Rescue (C544-Ivy)!

<10-03-2021> C2544-Ivy (F), around three years and a half months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th March 2021, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that a cat ran into a shop opposite to the Red Market in Avenida de Horta e Costa. It was reported that the cat looked very fat, or pregnant, and was bleeding from her mouth. C2544-Ivy was taken to a clinic for consultation and the pregnancy was confirmed. Anima-March Rescue (2346 to 2351)!

<09-03-2021> 2346-Kisarah (F), 2347-Kula (F), 2348-Momoko (F), 2349-Rugal (M), 2350-Shingo (M) and 2351-Akari (M), all around two months old, were rescued by Anima on 9th March 2021, after a call from Macau Kennel referring that they have no more free space. They were caught by I.A.M. at Westin Sewage five days before. According to the vet, all of them have Tick Fever and a severe anemia. 2346-Kisarah, 2347-Kula, 2348-Momoko, 2349-Rugal, 2350-Shingo and 2351-Akari were sent to a clinic for further examination. Four of them might need a blood transfusion. All of them will hospitalized in the clinic for treatment and specific medical care. Thanks, IAM! Please help us to help them! <08-03-2021> B201-Vita, an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on 8th March 2021, after received a call from a call from Ms. Christine reporting that she found a turtle dove near NAPE and unable to fly. She asked us help. Later, Ms. Christine sent B201-Vita directly to a clinic where the dove is now under medical treatment. Thanks, Ms. Christine! Please help us to help them! Anima-March Sad News (C2089-Wintor)!

<08-03-2021> C2089-Wintor was found getting skinny on 26th February 2021. His blood test results showed a small infection and he started taking medication. On 1st March 2021, an IAM vet made some clinical tests and Wintor was tested positive for FCov. On 4th March 2021, he was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, many symptoms are related to FIP. Later, the vet also referred that his prognosis was very bad. There were no chances of surviving without a proper quality of life. Although a palliative care could be performed, it was also suggested to euthanize him to end the pain. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, C2089-Wintor did not survive. Anima–March Sad News (877-Lisa)!

<08-03-2021> 877-Lisa (F), one of our dogs rescued long time ago, was found with an abscess on her right hind lower leg, on 24th December 2020. She was under treatment and antibiotics. On 30th December, 877-Lisa was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, the staining microscopy and x-ray results, the abscess could be a tumor or an infection. Hospice care was recommended as she may be near the end of her life. Anima was focus on providing the best quality of life for her with a terminal disease. Yesterday, 877-Lisa was sent to a clinic for further examination. She did a blood test and the result indicated that she has anemia. X-Ray result showed that her intestine is abnormal. In the clinic, they suspected that her tumor might have been spread to her intestines. Today, 877-Lisa passed away due to cancer. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning...

Anima–March Rescue (C2543-Tesla)!

<06-03-2021> C2543-Tesla (F), around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 6th March, 2021 after being caught by our staff wandering around the roofs of Cats’ Paradise. Tesla has no microchip and hasn’t been spayed. She was welcomed into our shelter and is currently under quarantine. This is the second mixed Bengal cat rescued this week, both caught in similar circumstances. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (2344-Poe)!

<04-03-2021> 2344-Poe (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 4th March 2021, after her dead body was found by Mr. Albano in the early morning, lying on the roadside of Estrada de Hac Sa near the Man Hong Yeung villas. Mr. Albano contacted our Rescue team and they immediately collected the body. No blood or visible injuries were found. It was sent directly to I.A.M. for further investigation.
