Anima–February Rescue (C2526-Martins)!

<19-02-2021> C2526-Martins (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 19th February 2021, after a call from Mrs. Chui reporting that a cat she used to feed in an abandoned yard at Estrada Marginal da Ilha Verde, is not eating for two days. C2526-Martins was immediately rescued and sent to a clinic for consultation. A large abscess was found in his back and is ruptured when touched, discharging a foul-smelling secretion. According to the vet, he has severe Sepsis and an abscess. A drainage tube was placed in wounds and abdomen to evacuate fluids that would otherwise accumulate due to dead space, inflammation, infection, and/or necrosis. Blood test’s result indicated that he has a high level of lymphocyte, monocytes, platelet, and anemia as well. He is at the risk of death as his condition has not a positive prognostic. C2526-Martins will stay in the clinic, under veterinary supervision. Thanks, Mrs. Chui! Please help...

Anima–February Return (C2525-Twinky)!

<18-02-2021> C2525-Twinky (F), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th February 2021, and now she is in our Special Protection Program, under Ms. Carla's responsibility at her workplace Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. A cat trap was lent to Ms. Carla and she caught Twinky. The kitten was directly sent to a clinic where Twinky was checked, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. C2525-Twinky returned today, back to her place and family in Pátio. Thanks, Ms. Carla, for everything! Please help us to help them! Anima–February Rescue (C2525-Twinky)!

<17-02-2021> C2525-Twinky (F), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th February 2021, and now she is in our Special Protection Program, under Ms. Carla responsibility at her workplace Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. A cat trap was lent to Ms. Carla and she caught Twinky. The kitten was directly sent to a clinic where Twinky was checked, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. Anima–February Rescue (C2523, 2524)!

<13-02-2021> C2523-Akio (M), around six months old, and C2524-Manki (M), around seven months old, were rescued by Anima from Rua Dois of Iao Hon on 13th February 2021. These cats were rescued as a way to ensure their safety following last shocking reports of several cats found dead in the area. Akio and Manki were both welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. These rescues are part of an extensive rescue operation which is in progress in Iao Hon and Anima has been receiving the support of I.A.M. Please help us to help them! Anima-February Return (B197-Vera)!

<12-02-2021> B197-Vera, a dove, was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2021, following a call from Ms. Hui informing that she found a dove, B197-Vera, unable to fly near Edf. Kam Loi. She asked us help. Our rescue team collected Vera, sending her directly to a clinic. According to the vet, she was weak and needed to be fed. She was hospitalized in the clinic until full recover. <11-02-2021> Ten cats, C2511-January (M) and C2512-February (M), both around two years old, C2513-March (M), around eight years old, C2514-April (M), around two years old, C2515-May (F), C2516-June (M), C2517-July (F) and C2518-August (M), all around one year old, C2519-September (F), around two years old and C2520-October (F), around one year old, were rescued by Anima on 11th February 2021, from Macau Kennel as they are completely full. Anima–February Rescue (C2510-Chrome)!

<10-02-2021> C2510-Chrome (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 10th February 2021, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she found a cat lying on the floor behind the gate door of Edf. Chon Va in Est. do Repouso. Ms. Chan took some photos from far away and sent to Anima’s Facebook as well. C2510-Chrome was sent to a clinic for consultation. X-Ray results showed both hind feet have a small fracture. In the clinic, staff notice that the cat might have an owner as he is friendly during health treatments. Anima–February Rescue (C2508, C2509)!

<10-02-2021> C2508-Bones (M), around one and a half years old and C2509-Autumn (F), around four months old, were rescued by Anima on 10th February 2021, after a call from Mr. Ng reporting that he found three dead cats in the alleyway at Rua Dois do Bairro Iao Hon. After arriving at the place, rescue team contacted IAM and the police, regarding this case. On 8th February 2021, one of our members notices some bad smell when changing food of the trap in "CSA Computer Zone", which was in Rua Um do Bairro Iao Hon, and our rescue team went to check. Yesterday, when our rescue team arrive to the area other three dead bodies were found. This was reported again to IAM and the police. The case is now under investigation and IAM started to catch cats from that area. AAPAM helped Anima and two cats, C2508-Bones and C2509-Autumn were caught. Both were...

Anima–February Rescue (2342-Sylvia)!

<09-02-2021> 2342-Sylvia (F), around 12 years old, was rescued by Anima on 9th February 2021, after a call from Ms. Ruby regarding that an old dog, 2342-Sylvia, used to live in a construction site near Praia Park but the site already finished the work, and no one will take care of her anymore. Workers plan to release 2342-Sylvia near the site, but outside there is a traffic road which is quite dangerous. She asked us help. Last year during Chinese New Year, and because of Covid-19, no worker could come back to the site and 2342-Sylvia was always wandering in the road alone. Anima had several calls regarding this case on that time, but our rescue team failed to catch her as she was difficult to approach.
