Anima–October Rescue (2309-Kimchi)!

<30-10-2020> 2309-Kimchi (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 30th October 2020, after we received a call from Ms. Sophie reporting that she found a dog, 2309-Kimchi, lying on the grass area of the pedestrian road. Kimchi was inactive, breathing fast and unconscious near the roundabout of a Coloane’s car track. Ms. Sophie asked us help. Rescue Team went to the place and Kimchi was sent to a clinic immediately. During the trip, she had two strong seizures. X-ray and blood test in the clinic showed that everything is fine, but vets suspect she has neurological problem. 2309-Kimchi stays in the clinic under observation and medical care. Anima–October Rescue (C2420-Hiro)!

<27-10-2020> C2420-Hiro (M), around six weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 27 October 2020, after received a call from Ms. Wong reporting that she saw a kitten being chased by four dogs and hidden between the rocks on an abandoned site on Rua de Viseu, two days before. Rescue Team went there and found the kitten hidden in a hole on the slope at the site. C2420-Hiro was sent to a clinic to check his weak hind legs. According to the vet, X-ray results showed no fracture and Hiro was maybe limping due to a neuron problem. C2420-Hiro was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise with prescribed medication. Thanks, Ms. Wong! <27-10-2020> B175-Alti, an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on 27 October 2020, after our rescue team passed by Barbecue Park near Estr. do Altinho de Ka Ho during their daily feeding activities and saw the dead body of B175- Alti on the floor. Anima–October Rescue (B174-Budgia)!

<22-10-2020> B174-Budgia, an adult turquoise conure, was rescued by Anima on 22 October 2020, after we received a Facebook message from Ms. Liu reporting that she found a bird, B174-Budgia, falling on to the streets near Edf. Fong Ieng. She asked us help as the bird cannot fly and is used to humans’ interactions with him. B174-Budgia was sent to a clinic with Ms. Liu’s help and he stays safe under observation for now. Anima–October Rescue (C2419-Aria)!

<22-10-2020> C2419-Aria (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 24 October 2020, after a call from Mr. Pao asking if ANIMA could collect a kitten that have fallen from somewhere into the patio in Sun Star Plaza block 1 in Av. do Hipódromo. He asked us help. After our rescue team manage to collect C2419-Aria, the kitten was sent to a clinic for an X-ray and acknowledge from Mr. Pao. According to the vet, there are no internal nor external injuries. Although, it was suggested to Anima to observe the kitten’s health for a while. Anima-October Return and Rescue (1502-Saskia)!

<21-10-2020> 1502-Saskia (F), a dog around nine years old, was originally rescued by Anima on 21st July 2015, when she was four years old, being found limping in Rua do Visconde Paço de Arcos. She would recover and was adopted on 16th December 2016. Sadly, she was returned to our shelter on 19th December 2016, as the adopter claimed his daughter had an allergy. On 26th January 2017, she would be adopted once again, by a different adopter. Recently, in the beginning of this month, we received a call from Saskia adopter's mother claiming that Saskia has behaviour problems, bites things at home, including furniture, and even wounded herself. They claimed to have taken Saskia to a clinic and an animal trainer already, without improvements. We informed that returning Saskia to a shelter wouldn’t, unfortunately, minimize the issue. Anima–Rescue and Abandonment (C2417-Nena)!

  <15-10-2020> C2417-Nena (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 15th October 2020, after a call from Ms. Wong referring that a cat had fell into the patio on the 1st floor of Edf. Mayfair Court in Rua de Francisco António. An Elderly lady with wheelchair is living there and both, the security and Ms. Wong, know she is unable to have pets. Rescue team was sent to the site and informed Ms. Wong to contact fire department and IAM. On the way, ANIMA also contacted IAM asking for their assistance in searching if the cat has an owner. When Anima arrived the firemen already had caught the cat. C2417-Nena was sent to Macau Kennel for an urgent X-ray. Results showed a fracture in the pelvis. IAM inspectors understand that Nena might had an owner before. Unfortunately, they found the owner who decided to abandon the cat. C2417-Nena will stay in...

Anima–October Rescue (C2416-Joelle)!

<14-10-2020> C2409-Lorrie (F), around two years old, C2410-Lawrence (M), around eight months old, C2411-Lilian (F), around seven months old, as well as C2412-Lumi (F) and C2413-Lucia (F), both around two years old, were all rescued by Anima on the 11th October 2020, from the cages where they were found without minimum living conditions, inside the interior patio of a building in Macau. One other cat, C2414-Kaya (gender and age to be identified), was also rescued, caught while roaming freely over the site. Today, C2416-Joelle (M), around eight months old, was rescued by Anima at the same site. These are the results of an extensive rescue operation in a site identified by our rescue team on the previous days and under the responsibility of an elderly lady in Macau. Anima–October Rescue (2307-Aaron)!

<12-10-2020> 2307-Aaron (M), around one month and 19 days old, was rescued by Anima on 12th October 2020, from I.A.M. after they caught him and his three siblings at Estr. de Hac Sa on 22nd September 2020. 2307-Aaron was vaccinated and microchipped in Macau Kennel. Anima–October Rescue (C2415-Zorro)!

<12-10-2020> C2415-Zorro (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 12th October 2020, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that a cat has been lying next to bus stop of Avenida do Infante D. Henrique for half an hour, not moving even if some pedestrian kicked his tail. Rescue team went there and saw the cat lying on the middle of pedestrian road. C2415-Zorro was sent to Life Animal Clinic as his right eyeball was gone with discharge coming out. According to the vet, Zorro’s eyeball was gone but the reason is unknown.
