Anima–May Rescue and Return (SPP2241-Ah Mui)!

<02-05-2020> SPP2241-Ah Mui (F), around 12 years old and under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020, was rescued by Anima on 9th April 2020, after a call from Mr. O referring that SPP2241-Ah Mui had an eye problem. After diagnosis, it was suspected that SPP2241-Ah Mui had Blepharitis on the left eye and also Fungal Infection (Skin Problem) on the tail. She was sent to a Clinic for further examination as there was not improvement. Medical exams showed that Ah Mui’s right eye had swelling cornea and suspect her left eye had a cataract. Today, Ah Mui went to a clinic after treatment and she is better according to vet. SPP2241-Ah Mui was returned to A-Ma Temple (Barra) after consultation. Thanks, Mr. O! Please help us to help them! Anima–April Return (SPP2234; SPP2236)!

<30-04-2020> SPP2234-Benson, SPP2235-Stacey, SPP2236-Betzy and SPP2237-Sabella, all siblings around 3 months old, became under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 8th March 2020, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that SPP2237-Sabella was found dead in the site without any signs or symptoms of diseases. SPP2236-Betzy and SPP2234-Benson were adopted on the 20th October 2019, but they returned today to Anima by the adopter due to their bad behavior towards a new environment in her house. <27-04-2020> B147-Morgan, a wild young hawk-cuckoo, was rescued by Anima on 27th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Alahakoon informing us that a young bird, B147-Morgan, was found at R. da Patinagem and he was unable to fly. He asked us to help. Morgan was sent to a clinic where he recovered and was ready to go back to nature. B147-Morgan was released to the trail near ANIMA today! Thanks, Mr. Alahakoon! Anima–April Return (B146-Cheetie)!

<25-04-2020> B146-Cheetie, a young dove, was rescued by Anima on 22nd April 2020, after a call from our staff Zoe reporting that a bird had been hiding under a van on R. de Kun Iam Tong, as reported by workers from a mechanic shop. B146-Cheetie’s tail feathers were falling out. Ms. Zoe sent B146-Cheetie to a Clinic for treatment. B146-Cheetie stayed in the clinic and today was returned to Nature! Thanks, Ms. Zoe! Anima–April Return (B145-Oasis)!

<14-04-2020> B145-Oasis (M), a young northern hawk cuckoo, was rescued by Anima on 13th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Ana reporting that a bird, B145-Oasis bumped into her balcony window in One Oasis (Block 8) this morning. The bird was sent to a Clinic for consultation. According to the vet, B145-Oasis has no injury. He should be released as soon as possible as wild birds are afraid of people and very difficult to survive without foraging. B145-Oasis stayed in the clinic and today was returned to Nature! Anima–March Rescued and Returned (SPPC2305-Onni)!

<15-03-2020> SPPC2305-Onni (F), around 2 years old, was rescued by Anima on 15th March 2020 in Coloane, after we tried to catch her before, as we suspect that she was one of the escaped cats from ANIMA. Mr. Pedro helped us informing that a cat went into our trap and he thought she was pregnant. She was sent to a vet clinic for an x-ray and ultrasound for checking pregnancy. Results reported that Onni had already given birth and might still feeding her babies. SPPC2305-Onni (F) was released back on Calçada do Quartel in Coloane to go home. Thanks, Mr. Pedro! Anima–January Returned (SPP2074-Red)!

<17-01-2020> SPP2074-Red (F), around eight years old is under our SPP since the 3rd November 2018. Red was sent to the clinic from the 3rd to the 7th December 2019 because of a wound in her upper tight due to a fight. On the 24th December 2019, we were informed by her responsible that Red disappeared for two days and came back to her site with her wound opened once again. Anima–December Returned (SPP2201-Pauline)!

<29-12-2019> SPP2201-Pauline (F), around four years old, is under our SPP program since the 23rd December 2019. Pauline was rescued by Anima on the 23rd December 2019 after a call from her responsible reporting that Pauline has been lethargic and depressed the last couple days. She was sent to the clinic. White blood cells have a severe elevation and it is suspected that she has a uterus infection. Pauline was hospitalized, had surgery and recovered in Anima. She was returned to her site today!
