SIGN OUR PETITION AND BE OUR VOLUNTEER:
PLEASE HELP US END THE SUFFERING OF OUR GREYHOUNDS !
In less than one day, after we launched our petition, we already have online 1,615 supporters (up to 4:30 pm Macau time) and around hundreds signatures in Macau, even not going yet to the streets!

If you are an animal lover or if you respect the rights of the animals, please put an end to a business that is shaming all of us and hurting animals that run for their life and not for fun!

Anima will begin to disclose  figures about this bloody business, collected from the track website and the official information of Macau departments.
See some figures regarding the greyhounds suffering:

1. By the concession contract the track should run a minimum of 12 races per day. They are doing 18! Fifty per cent more! Consequences? The animals get tired, sick and injured!
2. By the concession contract they should run a minimum of 160 days of races per year. They are doing 22 per month which means 264 days per year! Sixty five per cent more! Consequences? The animals get tired, sick and injured!
3. Because the animals get so sick and tired, the number of animals in the track that are inactive may reach in some months more than 40 per cent!
4. Because the animals get so sick and tired, the number of animals in the track that are injured may reach in some months more than 20 per cent, the highest rate of injury in the world!
5. The track had 730 animals in December 2014 and 691 in January 2015!
6. According to Anima calculations, adding the number of new animals to the last month figures provided by the track and compared with the information provided by the track as the number of animals in the month, in average, 30 animals are being killed per month! In two years time all population is replaced!
7. The track do not provide any information about the number of greyhounds killed. Anima is asking the
Authorities to force them disclosing the number of animals imported and killed as a way to allow the community to have a responsible opinion about that business!
8. A silly question: why the owners of the track want to hide such information?
9. From March 2012 up to March 2015, Anima was promised that an adoption program will be implemented by the track. Up to now only two greyhounds were submitted to adoption and one of them adopted by his own vet!
10. As so many animals are killed every month, they are replaced by others imported from Australia, sold afterwards, in public auction, at prices sometimes five to six times more expensive than the cost price!
11. The income is added to the business income but subject to very low taxes, as Macau is a very low tax area! To this income do not applies the tax rate of 25 per cent!
We trust you!
