Anima 2015 February Statistics about Animals
Anima has rescued in the period of Jan-Feb 2015, 74 animals. In the same period, 15 animals were de-sexed and others are only waiting a recovery and the appropriate age.
The number of adoptions was 23!
Regarding the huge death of animals this is explained by the poor condition of them when arrived or by some diseases that sometimes happen in crowded shelters, even if we try our best to have a proper quarantine and good standards of welfare and cleaning policies.
Anima adopts the policy of No-Kill and No-Cage, policies that limit our capacity to increase the number of rescues or oblige us to be more selective in our rescue operations!
Last year we rescued 379 dogs and cats and we were able to make only 166 adoptions!
Please understand, without adoptions we can not save more animals!
Please be part of the solution, not part of the problem!
There are community members that only complain but do nothing when we need their help!
Just because we are an association that protects animals this doesn’t mean necessarily that animals can be dumped to our shelter!
We need to keep a proper balance between animals and space, otherwise we are saving animals that will be killed or kill others!
Some of our toilets are now being used as pens for animals!
We have no more space! Please understand!
Even in such situation we analyze case by case before any decision is taken.
