Anima – August Sad News (961-Antonio)!

961-Antonio (M), was rescued by Anima on 28th November 2012, after a call from a lady reporting that she found a dog stayed alone near R. do Alm. Sergio and not moving at all.
He was very scared when we found him.
We brought him to Anima and he had been staying with us since that.
He was found lying on the floor yesterday morning, very weak and dehydrated.
His blood test result showed he was very anemic with high infection and renal problem.
He was under IV dripping for few hours then sent to a clinic for consultation.
Ultrasound found that there was a mass on the spleen.
He had a splenectomy and an enterectomy surgery. The spleen and part of the intestine has to be removed as the tumor was huge.
Unfortunately Antonio couldn’t make it after the surgery.
R.I.P. my friend!
