Anima–February 1st, the day of the Galgo!

Today is the day of the Galgo!
Canidrome will be closed up to the end of 2018!
We all has win this first battle!
However we can loose the second battle which is to save all of those animals that are suffering in Canidrome, if we are not capable to convince Canidrome and the Macau Government to help them, helping Anima or any other Macau Animal Welfare organization that wants to work with Anima for saving them all !
Galgos are animals very similar to Greyhounds. They are even called as Spanish Greyhounds!
So similar that the majority of common people is incapable to distinguish them.
So similar that even in Portuguese grammar Galgo is the translation of greyhound!
Really few people is capable to distinguish them!
Let’s extend this day to all Greyhounds!
Let’s save all of them that are still in Canidrome.
Canidrome may have around 600 greyhounds at this moment!
If the Macau Government is not able to convince Canidrome to give them to Anima and allow Anima to run that space for one year we are not capable to save them!
Anima has the support of the biggest animal welfare associations in the world and the most active Greyhounds Protection Organizations and everybody is eager to help Macau to save our greyhounds!
Please help us to convince the Macau Government to help them, helping us!
Write to the Chief Executive (wallis.gce@raem.gov.mo) and the Secretary of Economic and Finance Affairs (karen.sef@raem.gov.mo) and ask them to help us!
Sign the petition of our friends Pet Levrieri Onlus of Italy asking the Macau Government to help us!
Greyhounds are extraordinary pets!
Greyhounds are very gentle and calm animals!
Greyhounds do not constitute any danger to your family and your animals!
Please be an adopter or a foster parent of a greyhound for 3 months, helping Anima, in case we are capable to get them out of the Canidrome!
If we are capable to get them and if you want to adopt a greyhound, please go to our website (animamacau.org) and fill in an adoption form.
For the field “name of the pet”, just write Grey and for the field “ tag”, just write G001!
As it will be difficult for Macau to absorb so many animals we need to send the majority to Europe!
