Anima–February Rescue (C2526-Martins)!

C2526-Martins (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 19th February 2021, after a call from Mrs. Chui reporting that a cat she used to feed in an abandoned yard at Estrada Marginal da Ilha Verde, is not eating for two days.
C2526-Martins was immediately rescued and sent to a clinic for consultation.
A large abscess was found in his back and is ruptured when touched, discharging a foul-smelling secretion.
According to the vet, he has severe Sepsis and an abscess.
A drainage tube was placed in wounds and abdomen to evacuate fluids that would otherwise accumulate due to dead space, inflammation, infection, and/or necrosis.
Blood test’s result indicated that he has a high level of lymphocyte, monocytes, platelet, and anemia as well.
He is at the risk of death as his condition has not a positive prognostic.
C2526-Martins will stay in the clinic, under veterinary supervision.
