Anima – July Rescue (1487-Spring, 1488-Summer, 1489-Autumn and 1490-Winter)
Four puppies, 1487-Spring, 1488-Summer, 1489-Autumn and 1490-Winter were found abandoned in the middle of the road between the water company and Anima this morning around 8:55am.
1489-Autumn had a wound on her neck and all of them had skin problems.
There are irresponsible members of the community that do not neuter their pets creating a lot of problems to us as we have no space.
They try to deliver back to us animals that they adopted or bought sometimes even years ago, knowing that we are full.
Sometimes we may understand, even disagreeing, but in the majority of times they invoke stupidities or lies like : “I am pregnant, the animal has worms that will affect my baby, bite my husband, my son, etc”.
As an answer we say: “Be responsible. We are full. At least do not abandon your pets in the streets, call other animal welfare associations in Macau and as a last resort deliver them to IACM. In this situation, please inform us as we have an agreement with IACM and we will try our best to help them. We will ask IACM to keep them alive as much as they can, giving us an option of adopting or find an adopter for them! But we can not guarantee that we succeed! Please be calm and give a chance to them. They are part of your family!”
This kind of attitudes are paralyzing our activities of helping animals that are really in risk, as we can not even move, so full we are!
Never abandon your pet! Abandoning a pet is cruelty!
