Anima–May Sad News (217-Neve)!

217-Neve was rescued by Anima and, as a pacient and relatively friendly dog, she has been our mascot for long time.
On 14th May, 217-Neve showed struggle to stand and had vomited once on the same day. She was checked by our vet and she did a full blood test.
Results showed that she has slightly anemia.
Neve was then sent to an outside clinic for further examination.
In the clinic she has been given subcutaneously fluids constantly and medicine for support kidney health as she was diagnosed with kidney failure since 29th September 2019 in another clinic.
According to vet, the situation now is also joint problem (arthritis) due to old age. Her muscle on the rear legs has deteriorated. additional supplements were given for improved mobility and joint comfort with painkillers.
Even though with laser therapy as a joint treatment, her kidneys would never be recovered and she was suffering enough already.
After discuss with the vet, and approved by tow Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions.
The last decision is always from the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make it!
