Anima in the event of DSPA!

<23-07-2020> Today, our board member, Ms. Kiko together with 50 guests, attended the "Plastic Bag Charge Donation Ceremony" at the Lecture Hall of the DSPA (Direcção dos Serviços de Protecção Ambiental). As part of this initiative, on 8th July 2020, Grand Lapa Macau donated MOP 404 (by Cheque) to ANIMA! Thank you very much DSPA for creating this event and encouraging different entities to donate the proceeds from the plastic bag tax to support charitable activities! July Rescue and Sad News (B157, B158, B159)!

<23-07-2020> B157-Miki (F), was rescued by Anima on 23rd July 2020, after being reported by our staff that a common dove, B156-Miki, was found injured inside our shelter, at the same place where her two babies, B158-Milo and B159-Mila, were found dead in their nest. B157-Miki was sent to a clinic. Miki had a very big fracture on her leg, an infected wound unable to heal on its own and she was suffering. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized in no pain conditions. The last decision belongs to the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make it! R.I.P. my friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–July Foster Family (C1778-Jane)!

<23-07-2020> Jane was fostered by Mr. Chavez, today! C1322-Rose (F), around one year old, C1775-Prince (M) and C1776-Princesa (F), both around five years old, C1777-Jo (M) and C1778-Jane (F), both around seven years old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 17th November 2017, after a call from Ms. Valeria informing us that she cannot keep all of her cats as her son has allergy. Anima-Melco Volunteer Team helped us!

<22-07-2020> Today, 21 people visited us, which 5 of them were from Melco Resorts Volunteer Team that came to our Cats’ Paradise to do volunteer tasks! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more people engage in Anima! In 2019, we had 7,487 visitors, a decrease of 13% as compared with 8,612 in 2018! 104 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in eight events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to June 2020, Anima received 185 visitors, 6 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in 23 events! Sister of SPP2234-Benson and SPP2236-Betzy, she will be under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in Parque Industrial da Concórdia. Anima-July Sad News (H039-Watermelon)!

<13-07-2020> H039-Watermelon was rescued by Anima on 28th January 2020 from a youngster Kenji, who claimed to have 28 hamsters and had mixed the males and females together. Anima–July Rescue (2295-Thumper)!

<10-07-2020> 2295-Thumper (M), around five years old, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2020, after a call from a security guard of Hospital de Reabilitação de Ka-Ho on 8th July, Mr. Dawa, reporting that a dog that he has fed for 3 years near the hospital was injured. He asked us to help. The dog has wounds on the head and both eyes are infected. According to Mr. Dawa, the dog is too sensitive as I.A.M had been trying to catch him many times. Anima lent a cage to Mr. Dawa to catch the injured dog. Today, Anima was informed by Mr. Dawa that 2295-Thumper was caught. He was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. Some puncture wounds from a bite were found on its head. 2295-Thumper will be hospitalized in the clinic, under medical care. He will also stay in Anima after recover. Thanks, Mr. Dawa!
