Anima–June Sad News (357-PutChai)!

<08-06-2020> On 20th February 2020, 357-PutChai showed the left side of her face swollen. She was checked by our vet, she had gum problems and medication was prescribed. Later, 357-PutChai was sent to a clinic. According to vet, she suffers from an oral tumor and most likely malignant, also unable to remove by surgery. 357-PutChai was returned to Dog Shelter, after consultation, as the tumor didn’t spread through her body. Nowadays, the tumor was growing faster and she started to be in suffer due to cancer. After discuss with the vet, and approved by tow Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. The last decision is always from the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make it! R.I.P., my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Adoption (2257-Pitt)!

<08-06-2020> Pitt was adopted today by Mr. Ho! 2257-Pitt (M), around three months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 16th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy had been injured from dog fight in Coloane-Ka Ho near Escola de São José de Ka-Ho. The puppy, 2257-Pitt, belongs to a litter of 9 puppies and Ms. Peng found out that he has a very big wound with worms on the back of his neck. He was immediately sent to a clinic for treatment. According to the vet, 2257-Pitt was severely anemic, need to put him under fluids and might need a blood transfusion. He was hospitalized for two weeks. 2257-Pitt was temporary fostered by Ms. Elisa and returned to our Dog Shelter after he recovered. Pitt was adopted today by Mr. Ho! Thanks, Mr. Ho! Anima-June Adoption (2263-Panya)!

<05-06-2020> Panya was adopted today by Ms. Mcgrath! 8 Puppies, 2258-Paige (M), 2259-Pax (M), 2260-Presley (M), 2261-Piers (M), 2262-Penley (M), 2263-Panya (F), 2264-Paza (F) and 2265-Pamina (F), all around 2 months old, were rescued by ANIMA on 18th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy their sibling, 2257-Pitt, had been injured from a dog fight in Coloane, near Escola de São José de Ka-Ho. Anima–June Sad News (C2357-Ariana)!

<05-06-2020> C2357-Ariana, around a few months old, was rescued by Anima on 4th June 2020, after a call from a lady, Ms. Leonor, informing that she found an injured kitten on Tv. da Praia Grande (Macao), with blood coming from eyes, mouth and nose. She helped send the kitten directly to a clinic for treatment. C2357-Ariana was hospitalized for treatment there. Today, we were informed that Ariana passed away in the clinic. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–May Return (B150-Kilala)!

<04-05-2020> B150-Kilala, was rescued by Anima on 24th May 2020, after our staff member, Mr. Paulo, informing us that a dove was found on the flower pot in Free Area and he was not being able to fly. Our Rescue team sent B150-Kilala to a clinic for treatment. The dove stayed in the clinic under medical care. B150-Kilala recovered and was return to the wild today! Thanks, Mr. Paulo! Anima–May Sad News (164-Trump)!

<04-06-2020> 164-Trump has been with us in our Dogs’ Shelter for long time. On 13th May, was reported by the handler that 164-Trump had a wound on his face. 164-Trump was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation as the wound was quite deep and our vet was in his day off. Surgery was performed by another vet to close up the wound. A lipoma on right hind leg of Trump was removed on 16th November, 2019 but a lump reappears on the same leg now and it seems to cause pain when being touched. According with the vet, he reported that the lump from right hind leg has grown all over into one area and results of some exams showed that it is a malign cancer. Removal and Amputation is not suggested as he will not recover. 164-Trump passed away today in Anima. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!...

Anima–May Rescue (C2356-Ponyo)!

<03-06-2020> C2356-Ponyo, called “Ball Chai”, around 3 years old was rescued by Anima on 3rd June 2020, after a call from Ms. Au reporting that a black and white cat had fallen from above and crawled into her shoe shop at Edf. Fong Iu on Rua do Lu Cao. The cat was walking in pain and had blood coming from the mouth. When rescue team arrived at the shop, another lady Ms. Chao was there saying she’s the owner of the cat. C2356-Ponyo is neither castrated or microchipped. He was given to her by a friend from China a few years ago. Ms. Chao lives on the 4th floor and didn’t install any window nets because usually C2356-Ponyo is caged. However, she let him out today for a walk and he escaped. As C2356-Ponyo was bleeding from the mouth, panting and Ms. Chao couldn’t bring him immediately to a clinic for treatment, Anima...

Anima–May Sad News (C2086-Albin)!

<02-05-2020> C2085-Viru (M), around one year old; C2086-Albin (M), around one year old; C2087-Rasa (F), around two years old; C2088-Careina (F), around four years old and C2089-Wintor (M), around two years old were all rescued by Anima on 19th February 2019, from IAM due to no space. On 29th May, C2086-Albin refused to eat and had watery diarrhea. He was tested positive on a Pancreatitis test. Later, he got a swollen jaw, lymph nodes. Clinic reported that Albin was very weak, with low body temperature upon arrival and dehydrated. He was immediately put under intensive medical care and would stay in clinic for treatment. Today, the vet informed that Albin passed away. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Return (SPP2276-Moana)!

<01-06-2020> SPP2276-Moana (F), around three years old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 25th May 2020, under Mr. Ip’s responsibility in Ka-Ho Workshop. SPP2276-Moana was scheduled for sterilization in a clinic, today. After blood test results before the surgery, she was diagnosed positive for Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia Canis (Tick Fever). She was spayed in the clinic and medication was prescribed. SPP2276-Moana was returned to Ka-Ho Workshop after being neutered. Thanks, Mr. Ip! Please help us to help them! Anima–May Rescue (H055-H062)!

<01-06-2020> H055-Star Fruit (M), H056-MangoSteen (M), H057-JuJuBe (M), H058-Rambutan (M), H059-Physalis (M), H060-Sapodilla (M), H061-Guara (M), H062-Golden Apple (M), all around 3 months old, were rescued by Anima on 2nd June 2020, after received a message on Facebook by Mr. Hong, reporting that 8 hamsters were found abandoned in the park of Edf. Lok Kuan (Seac Pai Van) in a cage. He asked us to help. H055-Star Fruit, H056-MangoSteen, H057-JuJuBe, H058-Rambutan, H059-Physalis, H060-Sapodilla, H061-Guara, H062-Golden Apple were consulted in Anima. As they will start to fight with each other as soon as they have reach maturity, H055-Star Fruit, H056-MangoSteen, H057-JuJuBe, H058-Rambutan will be separated and kept in one group.
