Anima–April Rescue (2356 and 2357)!

<01-04-2021> Two puppies, 2356-Fang (F) and 2357- Falk (M), both two and half months old, were rescued by Anima on 26th March 2021, after a call from Mr. Lam reporting that two puppies were trapped in the water drainage system at Estrada de Nossa senhora de Ka Ho. The puppies were stuck, but our team was able to rescue them. Falk has a corneal ulcer on his right eye and will receive treatment. Both were welcomed in our Dogs’ Shelter. Thanks, Mr. Lam! Anima–March Rescue (B205-Daffy)!

<31-03-2021> B205-Daffy, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 31st March 2021, following a call from Ms. Sou reporting that a baby bird was found near L'Arch Hotel unable to fly. Anima–March Rescue (2355-Wong Chai)!

<30-03-2021> On 23rd March 2021, Anima was informed that a dog, 2355-Wong Chai (M), around one year old, was being kept inside a small cage in a corridor at Ed. Ip Heng, Seac Pai Van. Wong Chai had been there already for several days and the owner had refused to bring him inside his apartment, even under police request. Our team was mobilized and contacted I.A.M. The area was found with poor hygiene. With the help of I.A.M. inspectors, the dog was rescued on the same day and taken to Macau Municipal Kennel. Today, Wong Chai’s property was transferred to Anima! He will be welcomed into our Dogs’ Shelter later this week. Thank you for the support, I.A.M.! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Rescue (SPP710-Pac Sa)!

<30-03-2021> SPP710-Pac Sa (F), around 11 years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th March 2021, after receiving a call from IAM reporting that SPP710-Pac Sa was send to Macau kennel because she was not feeling well. In I.A.M., blood test results showed that she is anemic. Physical body check found an external vaginal infection and she was also tested positive for Babesia Canis and B. Gibsoni. According to the vets, it was prescribed medicine and treatment. One more vet suspect that Pac Sa has severely high hemolysis She will be staying in a clinic for a few days, under medical observation and health care. Thanks, IAM! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-March Newborns (C2568, C2569, C2570)!

<30-03-2021> Our cat C2497-Vava gave birth to three kittens today! Vava was rescued by Anima on 30th January 2021, after being found injured in Calçada do Monte. She had a mandibular symphyseal fracture, most probably due to a road traffic accident or a fall from a height. We soon found out that she was also pregnant. C2568-Hinata, C2569-Katana and C2570-Tsubasa were born this morning. As Vava is still recovering from a surgery, she’s being fostered with the newborn kittens by one of our staff.  Please help us to help them! Anima–March Sad News (C2564-Tillie)!

<26-03-2021> C2564-Tillie (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 26th March 2021, after receiving a call from Mr. Ho reporting what his colleague told him about a female kitten who was hit by a vehicle this morning and she was put into a paper box near the carpark of Border Gates. The kitten was very aggressive and seemed to have broken her left hind leg. Our Rescue team sent C2564-Tillie directly to a clinic. According to the vet, X-ray scan showed an injure in the lung which was making her have difficulty breathing. She also has a perineal hernia, and her bladder was out of the abdominal cavity. C2564-Tillie was hospitalized for treatment, but despite all medical efforts, she could not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! <25-03-2021> Four female cats, C2557-Miya (F), C2558-Miriam (F), C2559-Yolanda (F) and C2560-Stacy (F), all around two years old, plus three male cats, C2561-Freddy (M) and C2562-Geoffrey (M), both around one year old and C2563-Ziggy (M) with two years old, were rescued by Anima on 25th March 2021, after a call from an I.A.M. staff reporting that there was no space for more street cats. Anima–March Sad News (601-Fava)!

<25-03-2021> Sadly, 601-Fava (F) has passed away today. Our dog Fava was in our shelter since 2010. Her health deteriorated quickly recently, following the first symptoms of appetite loss. Veterinary doctors found a mass blocking her digestive tract and, despite all medical efforts, Fava wouldn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–March Rescue (C2556-Alpine)!

<24-03-2021> C2556-Alpine (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 24th March 2021, after a call from Ms. Choi reporting that she caught a cat, C2556-Alpine, while feeding her in Rua Quatro do Bairro Iao Hon as the cat could not walk. Alpine was sent to a clinic. Later, x-ray and ultrasound results showed no internal problems. Although there are some ticks in her head other tests were made and results were negative. According to the vet, it is better for her to stay under close observation for the next days. C2556-Alpine is staying in the clinic for now. Thanks, Ms. Choi!   Please help us to help them! Anima–March Adoption (C2542 and C2543)!

<23-03-2021> Mercedes and Tesla were adopted by Mr. Sou, today! C2542-Mercedes (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2021, after setting up a few cat traps on the top of our ceilings in Cats’ Paradise. A vet and two staff from IAM visited our Cats’ Paradise in the afternoon to check the condition of C2542-Mercedes and he was welcome to Anima. C2543-Tesla (F), around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 6th March 2021, after being caught by our staff wandering around the roofs of Cats’ Paradise. Tesla did not have microchip and she was not neutered. This is the second mixed Bengal cat rescued that week, both caught in similar circumstances. Mercedes and Tesla found a home, now.
