Anima–March Rescue (B200-Astro)!

<04-03-2021> B200-Astro, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 4th March 2021, after received Facebook message from Mr. Chan reporting that he found a baby pigeon near Hotel Estoril yesterday and could not find the nest around. He temporarily took the baby dove to his home for care and requested our rescue team assistance. Later, Mr. Chan decided to send the baby bird B200-Astro directly to a clinic today. Thanks, Mr. Chan! Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (B199-Meg)!

<27-02-2021> The body of B199-Meg, an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2021, after one of our supervisors found it during her morning inspection. B199-Meg was found with feathers scattered everywhere, and the body was still warm. Suspect it was attacked by dogs. The body will be delivered to IAM, later. R.I.P. our dear friend! Anima–March Rescue (C2542-Mercedes)!

<03-03-2021> C2542-Mercedes (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2021, after setting up a few cat traps on the top of our ceilings in Cats’ Paradise. A vet and two staff from IAM visited our Cats’ Paradise in the afternoon to check the condition of C2542-Mercedes and now he is welcome to Anima. Thanks, IAM! Please help us to help them! Anima– March Adoption (2322-Varick)!

<02-03-2021> Varick was adopted by Mr. Chan, today! The mother dog 2318-Vicky (F), around two years old, with her six puppies, 2319-Valentina (F), 2320-Valentino (M), 2321-Valter (M), 2322-Varick (M), Vasil (M) and 2324-Vicente (M), all around 3 weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 27th November 2020, after a call from Ms. Lam and Ms. Yip reporting that they found six puppies inside a carton box in Galaxy 3A Construction Site, and estimate all of them are around few-days-old as their eyes were closed. According to Ms. Lam, the mother was seen wandering far away from the puppies. Due to cold weather and no food, both became worried with all of them. Anima contacted I.A.M to cooperate on catching the mother. 2318-Vicky and her six puppies were caught by I.A.M. Anima collected the family, and they were welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter! Anima–March Rescue (C2541-Wallis)!

<02-03-2021> C2541-Wallis (F), around one year and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd March 2021, after receiving a call from Ms. Zoe reporting that she found a sick kitten, C2541-Wallis, in Rua de Kun Iam. She asked us help. C2541-Wallis is used to live in that area, but our rescue team could not find her mother. The kitten was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, she has cat flu and many fleas. C2541-Wallis will stay overnight in the clinic. Thanks, Ms. Zoe! Please help us to help them! Anima-Luen Ying Hong Team visited us!

<26-02-2021> Today, we were visited by 37 people, of which 6 were from Luen Ying Hong Team who came to our Dogs’ Shelter and Cats’ Paradise. The team also donated 15 bags of dog dry food. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima–February Rescue (from C2529 to C2539)!

<26-02-2021> Eleven cats, C2529-Pringles (M), two and a half months old, C2530-Tamas (M) and C2531-Tamaya (F), both three and a half months old, C2532-Manford (M), around two years old, C2533-Marino (M), around 5 months old, C2534-Manson (M), around three years old, C2535-Melvin (M), around one year old, C2536-Gusta (F), around two years old, C2537-Kristy (F), around one year old, C2538-Krystal (F), around two years old and C2539-Kimama (F), around three years old, were rescued by Anima on 26th February 2021, from Macau Kennel as they are completely full. Anima–February Sad News (C2526-Martins)!

<26-02-2021> C2526-Martins (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 19th February 2021, after a call from Mrs. Chui reporting that a cat she used to feed in an abandoned yard at Estrada Marginal da Ilha Verde, is not eating for two days. C2526-Martins was immediately rescued and sent to a clinic for consultation. A large abscess was found in his back and is ruptured when touched, discharging a foul-smelling secretion. According to the vet, he has severe Sepsis and an abscess. A drainage tube was placed in wounds and abdomen to evacuate fluids that would otherwise accumulate due to dead space, inflammation, infection, and/or necrosis. Blood test’s result indicated that he has a high level of lymphocyte, monocytes, platelet, and anemia as well. He was at the risk of death as his condition had not a positive prognostic. Anima–February Rescue (C2528-Olive)!

<25-02-2021> C2528-Olive (F), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, after receiving a message on Facebook from Mr. Tiago asking if we can collect her as the kitten is very friendly and easy to approach. Mr. Tiago thinks that Olive might have an owner and was lost. Today, our rescue team passed by the area. Olive was found inside of a shop and it was asked if she belongs to them. Both, the shop staff and the owner, said that Olive is a stray cat that would sometimes come in, either to get food or attention.
