Anima in Escola Ilha Verde Ass. Comercial de Macau!

<11-01-2021> Today, Anima attended the Escola Ilha Verde Ass. Comercial de Macau. Ms. Kiko, Ms. Mo and Mr. Roberto represented us at this event and around 115 people were present. We are grateful for the kind invitation. Anima wishes the best luck to this school in their noble efforts to help children developing skills towards lecturing animals’ welfare in Macau. Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima–January Rescue (C2480-Yi Pou)!

<12-01-2021> C2480-Yi Pou (M), around 9 years old, was rescued by Anima on 12th January 2021, after a call from Mr. Miguel regarding on 28th December, that a lady who was living in Centro International de Macau and supported by Anima for food, was hospitalized in Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário a week ago. According to Mr. Miguel, she has three dogs and around 13 cats at home originally. The cats were released to the terrace of the building but the three dogs still at home. He asked us help. C2480-Yi Pou was caught by IAM a few days ago. Anima brought the cat, C2480-Yi Pou and he is welcome now to our Cat’s Paradise. Thanks, Mr. Miguel! Please help us to help them! Anima-New SPP dog (SPP2337-Katie)!

<11-01-2021> SPP2337-Katie (F), around one year and three months old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), under Ms. Wong’s responsibility in a Ka Ho workshop, Coloane. Ms. Wong reported that there was female dog who needs to be desexed before getting pregnant. Anima is going to help providing dog food and bring her to a clinic for a spay surgery when she becomes ready for it. Thanks, Ms. Wong! Please help us to help them! Anima–January Rescue and Return (SPP2241-Ah Mui)!

<11-01-2020> SPP2241-Ah Mui (F), around 12 years and 8 months old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020, under Mr. Jake ‘s responsibility in Templo de A-Ma (Barra). Today, Anima was informed that SPP2241-Ah Mui has blepharitis (inflammation) reoccurring on the eyelids causing redness. She was sent to a vet clinic and made some medical exams. SPP2241-Ah Mui returned to the former site after consultation and under prescribed medication. Thanks, Mr. Jake! Please help us to help them! Anima-January Return (C2392, C2394)!

<09-01-2021> C2392-Nayomi and C2394-Nelly, both around two weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 14th September 2020, after a call from Ms. Carla reporting that she was hearing kittens meowing inside an abandoned property next to her workplace at Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. Our Rescue Team was mobilized and rescued the kittens, already collected from the property by a local worker by the time we arrived. They were welcomed to our Cats' Paradise. Nayomi and Nelly would be adopted on the 21st November, 2020. Unfortunately, however, the family daughter is suffering from a severe allergy and the kittens were returned today. C2392-Nayomi and C2394-Nelly are now being temporarily fostered by our staff and looking for a new family! Please help us to help them! Anima-January Sad News (C2077-Darcey)!

<06-01-2021> C2077-Darcey (F), around two-year-old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 17th January 2019, after a call from Mr. Lam. Darcey was hiding inside his shop for three to four days and he thought that she was pregnant. Mr. Lam put a trap inside his shop. C2077-Darcey was rescued and welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, Darcey was sent to a clinic for consultation as she was getting skinny, lethargic and she has not been eating for a day. Blood tests results showed anaemia and jaundice. C2077-Darcey was under treatments and taking medication, but her condition got worst suddenly in the last days. Following the veterinary medical advice and consent given by several members of Anima's board, Darcey was euthanized at a clinic as an attempt to reduce her suffering. R.I.P. our dear friend! <06-01-2021> 2334-Ben Ben (M), around seven years, 2335-Fei Mui (F), around 14 years old and 2336-Cola (F), around seven years old, were rescued by Anima on 6th January 2021, after a call from a person regarding on 28th December, that a lady who was living in Centro International de Macau and supported by Anima with animals’ food, was hospitalized in Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário. According to the person, she has three dogs and around 13 cats at home originally. The cats were released to the terrace of the building, but the three dogs were at home. The person asked us help. Anima–January Adoption (C2426-Kabir)!

<04-01-2021> Kabir was adopted by Mr. Kan, today! C2426-Kabir (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th November 2020, after we received Facebook message from Ms. Fong referring that her neighbour tied a male cat outside on a nylon string again and it is happening the second time. Anima reported to Macau Kennel immediately. The cat was transferred to I.A.M. Our rescue team brought him to Anima. C2426-Kabir was consulted and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise.
