Anima–August Sad News (C2544-Ivy)!

<16-08-2023> C2544-Ivy (F), around three years and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th March 2021, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that a cat ran into the shop bleeding from her mouth, opposite to the Red Market in Avenida de Horta e Costa. Apparently, the cat looks very fat and could be pregnant.C2544-After consultation, pregnancy was confirmed. C2544-Ivy was brought by our rescue team and welcome to Cat’s Paradise. Recently, she was hospitalized under fluids in a clinic, as she has kidney problems and she is getting skinny. Her prognosis was bad also due to other symptoms. More tests were done to make a better diagnosis. Besides all veterinary efforts, C2544-Ivy passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! <15-08-2023> C2843-Vespa (M) and C2844-Lambretta (F), both around two years old, were rescued by Anima on 15th August 2023, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for animals. They were all microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima and IAM cooperate to save as many animals as possible. Thanks, IAM! Anima-August Abandonment (C2631, C2633)!

<10-08-2023> C2624-Alicia (F), C2625-Vargas (F), C2626-Mariko (F), C2627-Morass (F), C2628-Diablo (M), C2629-Flying Tiger (M), C2630-Falcon (M), C2631-Largo (M), C2632-Zola (M), C2633-Beetle (M) and C2634-Tyrant (M), all around six weeks old back then, were rescued by Anima on 11th September 2021. The rescue happened after a call from Ms. Chan, who reported that she has found the kittens abandoned in a cardboard box at Fortaleza do Monte. They were firstly sent by our team to a clinic for a check-up, as some of them seemed to be struggling to breath. After consultation, all were welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise! C2631-Largo and C2633-Beetle were adopted on 28th October 2021. Today, the owner asked us to return them because people on the family got allergy since they adopted both cats and it got worst through time! Anima–August Rescue (C2842-Duck Zai)!

<10-08-2023> C2842-Duck Zai (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th August 2023, after a call from Mr. Wong, saying that a cat was injured and lying on Tv. D’Areia Preta. He asked us help. Our rescue team went there immediately and found a wet cat on the top of a plastic bag with bloodstains on it. C2842-Duck Zai was sent to a clinic. According with the vet, Duck Zai had a fracture on upper jaw, pulmonary hemorrhage and two broken bones on his left front paw. C2842-Duck Zai stay hospitalized for surgery, treatments and veterinary supervision until recover. Thanks, Mr. Wong! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! Anima–August Sad News (397-Sleepy)!

<10-08-2023> 397-Sleepy (M), is one of our senior dogs with a chronic pancreatitis. Recently, he was hospitalized in a clinic, as he vomited, he was in pain and with difficult breathing. A surgery was performed immediately and Sleepy’s spleen was removed due to a tumor. Blood test done after surgery showed anemia and inflammation. He was still hospitalized for treatment, although prognosis was bad also due to advanced age. Besides all medical efforts, 397-Sleepy passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–August Adoption (C2753-Kellie)!

<09-08-2023> C2753-Kellie was adopted today, by Ms. Carla! A mother cat, C2753-Kellie (F), around two years old, together with her two kittens C2754-Keira (F) and C2755-Kaitlyn (F), both around one and a half months old, were rescued by Anima on 13th September 2022, after Anima has been informed by Mr. Yeung that a mother cat with two kittens were frequently resting on his balcony. He had asked Macau Kennel to pick them up, but IAM was full. Our rescue team brought them to be welcome to our Cats’ Paradise! Fortunately, C2753-Kellie found the love of a new family, today! <03-08-2023> C2154-Gunner (M), one of our senior cats, was rescued by Anima on the 5th July 2019, after a call from IAM, regarding no space. He was welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise!
