Anima–August Sad News (SPP2504-Foxy)!

<02-08-2023> SPP2504-Foxy (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on the 2nd August 2023, after a call from a call from Mr. Vemon asking for help as he found a very sick small stray dog in Hac Sa boat area. Our Rescue Team sent Foxy to a clinic immediately. Prognosis was Canine Distemper and SPP2504-Foxy was in a critical stage already. Besides all medical and Anima’s effort to keep him alive, SPP2504-Foxy passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–August Rescue (C2839-Kennedy)!

<02-08-2023> C2839-Kennedy (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd August 2023, after a lady reported that she found an injured and paralyzed cat between Rua de Sanches de Mirando and Rua de Eduardo Marques. He was sent to a vet clinic. According to the vet, he has fractures in different places, suspecting that Kennedy fell from high places or he was hit by cars, paralyzing him. C2839-Kennedy will be hospitalized in the clinic until full recover. Thanks, volunteers Ms. Joe and Ms. Carla! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! Anima–July Rescue (C2838-Baggie)!

<28-07-2023> C2838-Baggie (M), around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 28th July 2023, after one of our staff, Mr. Danilo, reporting that there was a large plastic bag outside of our Dogs’ Shelter with a cat, C2838-Baggie, inside. Apparently, the cat was abandoned on the street. As C2838-Baggie was sent to a clinic immediately. According with the vet, he was dehydrated, he has kidney failure, heart disease, and a respiratory infection He will stay in the hospital. C2838-Baggie will be hospitalized in the clinic until full recover. Thanks, Mr. Danilo! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets! Anima–July Rescue (C2834, C2835, C2836)!

<26-07-2023> C2834-Malibu (M), around three years old, C2835-Miami (F), around one year old and C2836-Maui (M), around one year old, were rescued by Anima today, after a call from IAM regarding lack of space for more cats. They are neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. All of them were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise, today. Anima and IAM cooperate in order to save as many animals as possible. Thanks, IAM! Anima–July Rescue (C2829-Angie)!

<11-07-2023> C2829-Angie (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th March 2023, after a call from Ms. Lam referring that a cat was abandoned by an old guy on R. da Erva. The cat and her two kittens of around three months old were kept in that guy’s store, but recently the guy locked the mother outside every night. After talk to the owner, he said that he only wanted to keep the kittens. The mother cat, C2829-Angie, was brought and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Thanks, Ms. Lam! Anima–June Sad News (C2360-Dwarfs)!

<26-06-2023> C2360-Dwarfs (M), around eight months old back then, was rescued by Anima on 20th June 2020, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that an injured cat, C2360-Dwarfs, was found in the backyard of her building. She asked us to help. According to Ms. Cheong, there were some neighborhood cats gathered in the backyard and howled. She suspects that C2360-Dwarfs got bitten by older cats in that area. C2360-Dwarfs’s right face had an open wound for one month and he got worst. Rescue Team set a cat trap in the site and C2360-Dwarfs was caught. C2360-Dwarfs was sent to a clinic before being welcome to our Cat’s Paradise. Recently, his health condition forced Dwarfs being hospitalized in a clinic due to heart failure with a lung edema, severe jaundice and anemia. Besides all medical efforts, Dwarfs passed away today. <21-06-2023> The mother cat, C2823-Cheddar (F), around two years old, together with her four kittens, C2824-Mozzarella (F), C2825-Golda (F), C2826-Brie (M) and C2827-Feta (M), all around three months old, were rescued by Anima on 21st June 2023, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for animals.
