Anima–September Sad News (C2227-Teddy)!

<20-09-2023> C2227-Teddy (M), around four years old back then, was rescued by Anima on the 3rd November 2019, after a Facebook message from Mr. Ng saying that his father owned four cats before passing away, but he could not take care of them. He has been living in our Cats’ Paradise after his rescue. Recently, C2227-Teddy was hospitalized in a clinic, as he was getting skinny, constipation, jaundice and anemia. His prognosis was getting worst and besides all our efforts, C2227-Teddy passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–September Adoption (T038-Roliz)!

<19-09-2023> Roliz was adopted today, by Mr. Ian! T038-Roliz (M), an adult turtle, was rescued by Anima on 22nd August 2023, after a call from Mr. Chan, reporting that he found a turtle (palm size) this morning in Praça da Ponte e Horta. He suspects that Roliz fell from some building and got lost, although the turtle had no wounds. Mr. Chan took him home in Chun Hang Garden, Rua do Padre António. He asked us to help. Our rescue team brought Roliz to our Cats’ Paradise. Fortunately, Roliz found the love of a new family, today! Thanks, Mr. Ian for choosing to adopt instead of buying! Please help us to help them! Anima–September Sad News (SPP2375-MoMo)!

<18-09-2023> SPP2373-Aerobic (M), around two years old, SPP2374-Queen (F), around three years old and SPP2375-MoMo (F), around two years old back then, are under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 18th June 2021, under Mr. Ng’s responsibility in Ka Ho. Recently, SPP2375-MoMo was hospitalized in a clinic, as she was diagnosed with canine distemper, tick fever and she had also pancreatitis. Her prognosis was getting worst after neurological signs, such as circling and seizure, were verified in the morning. Besides all our efforts, SPP2375-MoMo passed away today. R.I.P. our friends! Anima–September Adoption (C2833, C2856)!

<18-09-2023> Wally and Amizada were adopted today, by Mr. Yiu! C2833-Wally (M), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 15th July 2023, after Ms. Pun reporting that she heard a kitten, Wally, meowing in the alley beside her house all night. She thought that Wally was stuck in the alley. She asked us help. Our rescue team brought C2833-Wally to our Cats’ Paradise. C2856-Amizada (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 9th September 2023, when our staff were passing by the Friendship Bridge and they found a wet kitten on the side of the dangerous road. Anima–September Rescue (C2860-Riceball)!

<12-09-2023> C2860-Riceball (M), around three weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 12th September 2023, after a call from Mr. Wong, reporting that he found a kitten last night on Rua da Praia do Manduco. He brought the kitten to a vet clinic overnight and later asked us for help. C2860-Riceball shall receive nebulizing treatment and will be fostered by our staff as he needs milk feeding. <12-09-2023> C2857-Tweety (F), around one and a half years old, C2858-Babbit (M), around one year old, and C2859-Marple (M), around two years old, were rescued by Anima today, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for animals. They are microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. Tweety, Babbit and Marple were all welcome to our Cats’ Paradise today! Anima and IAM cooperate together to save as many animals as possible. Anima–September Sad News (C1520-Allie)!

<01-09-2023> C1519-Alma (F) and C1520-Allie (F), around two years and one year old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 9th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took them home yesterday and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. C1512-Wifi was taken on the 3rd May 2017! They were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, C1520-Allie was found with no strength to get up and she was sent to our own clinic for a previous consultation and treatment. Besides all our efforts, she passed away, after the typhoon. Anima–August Rescue (SPP2373, SPP2375)!

<29-08-2023> SPP2373-Aerobic (M), around two years old, SPP2374-Queen (F), around three years old and SPP2375-MoMo (F), around two years old back then, are under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 18th June 2021, under Mr. Ng’s responsibility in Ka Ho. Today, Mr. Ng reported to Anima that SPP2373-Aerobic was eating normal, but always having fights with other dogs, while SPP2375-MoMo was not eating enough for a few days and vomit with yellowish fluid. Both were caught and sent to a clinic for consultation. A blood test showed that SPP2375-MoMo has pancreatitis and tick fever. Also, SPP2373-Aerobic has tick fever and canine distemper. Medication was prescribed and they started the treatment according to the vet. Thanks, Mr. Ng for all your help and dedication! Please, consider more options before abandon any animal in the streets!
