Lost or just abandoned in IFT?

This dog was found last Wednesday 8 April 2015, in Institute for Tourism Studies Campus at the 3rd floor according to Ms. Thea. They took the puppy to a nearby vet where he stayed until Friday evening while they tried to get him into a shelter or find a foster home. They were unable to do this, so Ms. Thea took him to her apartment on Friday evening. We need to find a permanent home for him. These are the details of the puppy: He is mixed breed (may be part poodle), male, approximately four months old as he still has baby teeth. He is a happy puppy, there is no psychological damage from his ordeal, though he appears to be teething. When found he had fleas and a skin infection. 2015 Fundraising for homeless animals “Ludwig’s Fund”

Anima has decided that the funds collected from our fundraising campaigns for homeless animals should go a a fund called  Ludwig's Fund. This is our way to show our gratitude to Gina Rangel, our founder member and our board member and coordinator of the SPP Committee. This is also our respect for her dedication to Ludwig, a family member that has left her and us last year. A way to show to our friends that an animal must be treated as a member of the family  and not as a thing. Ludwig has received what no homeless animal ever dreamed because he had a good family that always has respected his rights and cared about him! We should like to have more "Ludwigs"  in our world as this was a guarantee that we were having responsible families! So, let's make this fund the best way to help these homeless animals! Anima – Students from Lui Che Woo College of University of Macau had visited us on April

Today 42 people visited us, 10 students from Lui Che Woo College. Protection of environment, humans and other animals must always be the centre of our values! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! IACM – April Adoption (451-Ivonne)

451-Ivone was adopted from Anima on 20 June 2009 and was abandoned in Praça do Tap Seac. Someone delivered her to IACM. Fortunately, by an old informal policy between Anima and IACM, when we transfer our property to a new adopter our name is internally registered in IACM file. Once an animal is abandoned we are informed by IACM which, by law, can only disclose the microchip. But this is enough for us to know who was the bad guy. Once informed, we immediately called the adopter and the reason is always the same: the family do not want the animal anymore! But why he has not even called us? Why she was just abandoned in a very busy area? Irresponsible people! We were ashamed of him! Anima – April Rescue (SPP1441-Elvira)

Elvira, now SPP1411-Elvira, was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Wai, a bus driver, reporting that SPP1441-Elvira was hit by a truck today morning time in Avenida Son On. She was immediately taken to a vet clinic for surgery. Happily no bone was broken! All costs will be born by Anima and we gave to Elvira the status of SPP.
