Anima–May Sad News (C1508-Jewel)!

<04-05-2017> C1508-Jewel (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 29th April 2017, after a call from Mr. Leong, reporting that a kitten, C1508-Jewel, was found in Rua de Malaca, near Golden Dragon Macau, and was sick. He asked us to help. C1508-Jewel was checked by our vet and de-wormed. She was dehydrated and had low temperature. C1508-Jewel was staying in V6 under treatment. She died this afternoon! R.I.P. my friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima–May Rescue (C1517-Dee)!

<04-05-2017> C1517-Dee (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on the 4th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Si, around 7:30 pm, reporting that a kitten, C1517-Dee, was found in Rua Nova da Areia Preta and he was very weak. She asked us to help. C1517-Dee was sent to a clinic for consultation. He had low temperature and is staying in the clinic for IV Dripping and observation. Thanks Ms. Si! Please help us to help them! <04-05-2017> C1513-Arika (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on the 4th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Wong, reporting that her friend's cat gave birth and she adopted a kitten from her, C1513-Arika, but she travels a lot and she has no one to take care of Arika. <04-05-2017> On the 4th of May 2017, we have received from Janet Tracy, a former director in Venetian and wife of our good friend Edward Tracy, former President of Venetian, the amount of USD 2,000.00, income from the sale of a book for kids that Janet has published in USA, named “Grace and Shu Mai, the dumpling dog”. Shu Mai, a black dog, was adopted from Anima and the book is a story about her daughter Grace and Shu Mai and has several pages totally referred to Anima. Anima – Fountain of Hope visited us!

<03-05-2017> Today, 42 people visited us, 12 were from Fountain of Hope, that came to our Cats’ Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to April 2017, Anima received 3,578 visitors, an increase of 37.7% as compared with the same period of last year. 45 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, and we have been in 14 events organized by friends or by us! Anima–May Return and Abandonment (C812-Phoebe)!

<03-05-2017> C812-Phoebe (F), C813-Perry and C814-Paddy were found on 17th October 2014 at Av. do Oceano. Their mother has passed away. Phoebe was adopted on 9th November 2014! The adopter brought C812-Phoebe to our dog shelter this morning, claiming that  because of her divorce nobody is able to take care of C812-Phoebe anymore. Phoebe is now six years and eight months old! C812-Phoebe was checked by our vet and de-wormed. She is staying in C11 temporarily to adapt to the new environment as she is very scared. Anima–May Rescue (C1512-Wifi)!

<03-05-2017> C1512-Wifi (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on the 3rd May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took home Wifi yesterday and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. Anima – May Rescue (SPPC1128-Maxi)!

<03-05-2017> SPPC1128-Maxi (F) and SPPC1129-Smokey, around nine months old, under our Special Protection Program from 19th February 2016, were rescued by Anima on that day, through Michele, somewhere in Taipa. Maxi was neutered and stayed with us up to 26th June 2016. He went back to a place controlled by Michele, a real Angel for the colonies of cats! Today she was rescued again and came back to Anima with lots of fleas, high fever and severe dehydration. She was checked by our vet, de-wormed internally and externally and is now under dripping. Anima–Campaign against Canidrome-The History!

<03-05-2017> Let’s remember some features of this huge fight still not over! Requested by Anima, British Roger Taylor (drums, vocal) from the Queen’s band has sent a letter to the Macau Chief Executive to ask for the closing of Canidrome! Canidrome will be closed up to the end of 2018! We all has win this first battle! However we can loose the second battle which is to save all of those animals that are suffering in Canidrome, if we are not capable to convince Canidrome and the Macau Government to help them, helping Anima or any other Macau Animal Welfare organization that wants to work with Anima for saving them all ! Let’s save all of them that are still in Canidrome. Canidrome may have around 600 greyhounds at this moment!
