Anima- April Sad News (SPP1142-Leng Mui)!

<17-04-2017> SPP1142-Leng Mui, around four years and three months old,  was living in Coloane Kennel,  from 6th October 2013, under the management of Anima. By an agreement between IACM and Anima, all dogs living in Coloane Kennel are handled by Anima and no one is killed! IACM has there 33 dogs and all are kept alive by this agreement. IACM provides the food and medical care and Anima the staff. SPP1142-Leng Mui passed away in Coloane Kennel last night. According to our staff her spirit and appetite were good a day before. We suspect that Leng Mui may have died of heart attack. Leng Mui was one dog that was handled in the past in a construction site by Anita Yip, a well known Macau animal activist that asked our support as the site was closing. Some of her dogs have moved to Coloane Kennel! She will keep the ashes of Leng...

Anima–April Return (SPPC1416-Barry)!

<17-04-2017> SPPC1416-Barry (M), with an estimated age of three months old, was under our Special Protection Program when was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2017, after a call Michele, reporting that her friend, Mr. Daniel, found a kitten near Ponte 16 the night before. Barry was checked by our vet and dewormed. He had diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infection. He was fostered temporarily by Michele as he needed medication. He was rescued again on 4th April 2017 as he was found with a swollen eye, conjunctivitis and corneal ulceration. He was staying in V6 under treatment and now went back home. Thanks Michele! Anima – April Return (SPPC1244-Jeff)!

<17-04-2017> SPPC1244-Jeff (M), around 3 months old, was rescued by Anima through Michele, on 27th July 2016, somewhere in Taipa. He was brought to Anima for body check and received his first vaccination. Michele was responsible for him in that area. SPPC1244-Jeff came again on 6th April 2017, brought by Michele, for consultation due to gingivitis. He was checked by out vet and was staying now in V8 for treatment. Now he went back to his place. April Rescue and new Cats under SPP (SPPC1497, SPPC1498)

<17-04-2017> SPPC1497-MJ (F) and SPPC1498-Bub (M) , all around one and half months old, are now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), after being rescued by Anima through Michele on 17th April 2017! They were checked by out vet and de-wormed. Bub had an eye infection. After medication, they were returned to their place and fostered by Michele temporarily. Anima–Agreement between Anima and Anihelp!

<16-04-2017> Anima and Anihelp has signed an agreement of cooperation with 22 articles, that mainly establish the areas of cooperation between both organizations. The parties consider being in the interest of both institutions to cooperate in the fields of animal rescue, animal accommodation and animal adoption. The parties intent to work together to rescue animals at risk, keeping its organizational autonomy and independency at decision-making level. The parties understand the concept of animal at risk as follows: those animals displaying a condition assessed as to unable them to survive on their own, such as: (1) Animals abandoned in high traffic areas, puppies and kittens and pregnant animals; (2) Sick or injured animals; (3) All abandoned animals that display a high inability to survive on their own. Anima–April Return to Family (C1490-Jamia)!

<16-04-2017> C1490-Jamia (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 8th April 2017, after a call from Ms. Nafisa, reporting that a cat, C1490-Jamia, was found in the staircase of her building in Estrada Siu Keng Toi, the night before. She tried with no success to find the owner. She asked us to help as she has three cats already. C1490-Jamia was checked by our vet and de-wormed. She was delivered to Cats’ Paradise for quarantine. Now the family showed up. Ms. Pang today informed us that she was the owner of C1490-Jamia. Ms. Pang said C1490-Jamia escaped from home when they opened the door, and went down the stairs of the building. Anima–April Adoption (C1409-Ralph)!

<16-04-2017> Ralph was adopted by Ms. Lam on 16th April 2017! C1408-Rachel (F), C1409-Ralph (M) and C1410-Ranald (M), all with an estimated age of few days old, were rescued by Anima on 30th January 2017, after a call from Ms. Shibani reporting that three kittens were found in a carton box near the garbage bin at Rua do Caetano. They were fostered temporarily by our supervisor Zoe as they need milk feeding. Ralph lived with us until now. Thanks Ms. Lam! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–April Rescue (1872-Porche)!

<16-04-2017> See how he was and how he is now! Even without space Anima tried its best to save Porche! 1872-Porche (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 16th April 2017, after a call from Ms. Leong reporting that an old English sheepdog was found in Parque Industrial da Concórdia. He had a red collar, no microchip, very dirty and soaked, and the hair was all tangled. We shaved his hair and gave him a bath. He was checked by our vet and de-wormed. He is staying in G-1. Anima – Donations from Our Community!

<16-04-2017> Please help us! We are in risk of reducing drastically our activity and release staff! The funds received from Wynn Resort and two very important Chinese members of our community were provided and  used to pay the carried forward debts of Anima. At the moment we have no more 2016 debts, but we need funds to be capable to keep our daily activity! During all month of March we received from members of our community, local and non-local members, MOP 52,350,00 for helping us in these difficult times, of which 30,000 from Mrs. Ieong!
