Anima – July Abandonment!

Yesterday morning when our staff arrived in Anima there was food near our gate and a leash tied up to it. Probably a dog was abandoned there last night. As there was a heavy rain the dog may got scared and escaped. Today this dog in the picture was around Anima and yesterday was found unleashed near Helen Garden! Never abandon your pet! Anima – June Adoption (C1150-Rum)!

Rum was now adopted by Ms. Chi! SPPC1128-Maxi was rescued in Taipa on 19th February and was found pregnant before the de-sex surgery on 25th February. She had babies, on 29th March 2016: C1146-Jinn, C1147-Visky, C1148-Borbon, C1149-Vocca and C1150-Rum. Now Rum was adopted! Thanks Ms. Chi! Please help us to help them! Anima – July Rescue (C1227-Tenney)!

C1227-Tenney (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2016, after a call from Mr. Yung reporting that a kitten, C1227-Tenney, entered in a car shop at Rua Três do Bairro da Areia Preta. We set up a cat trap inside the car shop yesterday and C1227-Tenney was caught this morning. He is now with us and nobody will complain if he “poo and pee” everywhere! He was hungry! Thanks Mr. Yung! Anima – July Rescue (B031-Monchichi)!

B021-Monchichi, still a baby bird, was rescued by Anima on 1st July 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that a baby bird was found in Caminho da Povoação de Cheok Ka this morning. She asked us to help. B031-Monchichi was fostered temporarily by Alvin, our staff, as he is still young and can not eat by himself. It will be very difficult for him to survive! Anima – We have visited the Macau Portuguese School!

Anima has visited on 30th June 2016, at 10:00 am, the Macau Portuguese School (Escola Portuguesa de Macau) invited by Prof. Zélia de Oliveira Baptista. The kids have organized an event in May and have collected a donation to Anima. We agreed to pay a visit to them with four of our animals to collect the donation and to thank all of them for this precious support. It was a nice event where the kids show their love to the animals, and a good perception about the rights of the animals! Thank you Prof. Zélia, all teachers that joint us and all kids that enjoyed the experience! Thank you for trusting us and supporting our work! Anima – Magazine Bridges Umac, Spring 2016!!

On 10th March 2016, three students from the University of Macau came to interview our president regarding the work of Anima! Now they published their work in the magazine Bridges Umac Spring 2016, Art of Happiness! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! Anima – June Sad News (SPP1754-Boy)!

SPP1754-Boy (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 25th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina reporting that a puppy, SPP1754-Boy, now under our Special Protection Program was abandoned by the owner in Taipa near a place where we have two people working for us helping tens of dogs. Boy has severe attacks of epilepsy. He has been checked in one clinic but the prescription was not being effective. So, we decided to move to another clinic where he stayed overnight for observation. Boy went in suffer and after the vet favorable opinion and two board members we decided to put in sleeping! R.I.P my friend! Please don’t be cruel! Anima – June return (SPPC1128-Maxi)!

SPPC1128-Maxi and SPPC1129-Smokey, around nine months old, under our Special Protection Program from 19th February 2016, were rescued by Anima on that day, through Michele, somewhere in Taipa. Maxi was neutered and stayed with us up to now. He is now back to a place controlled by Michele, a real Angel for the colonies of cats! Thanks Michele! Never Abandon your pets!
