Anima – November Rescue (C1069 and C1070)!

C1069-Santino and C1070-Santos were rescued by Ms. Ieong in Amigos do Jardim Triângulo last night. C1070-Santos was adopted by her friend but C1069-Santino was sent to a clinic immediately as his head was injured. He need to stay overnight in the clinic for observation. Anima will help Ms. Ieong, a student, to cover the bill as asked by her and will keep Santino with us. Thanks Ms. Ieong! Never abandon your pet! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! November abandonment in Kennel (1373-Malvina)! 

1373-Malvina is the daughter of SPP1365-Maffy that was rescued in January 13, 2015 almost at the last stage of her pregnancy. She had twelve babies in Anima on January 16, 2015, one of them Malvina. Malvina was adopted on March 28, 2015 and abandoned in the Macau Kennel without any pre-notice to Anima! We should like to disclose the name of the adopter but our policy does not allow us to do it. We are trying to understand what happen, but we are not happy! Never abandon your pet! Anima – Why Adoption is our key piece!

Anima has rescued from January to September 2015,  286 animals, around 32 per month or one per day! Now we want 50 adoptions per month to allow us to save more animals and return less to the sites! In the same period only 113 animals were adopted. Anima adopts the policy of No-Kill and No-Cage, policies that limit our capacity to increase the number of rescues or oblige us to be more selective in our rescue operations! Last year we rescued 379 dogs and cats and we were able to make only 166 adoptions! Please understand, without adoptions we can not save more animals! There are people that only complain but do nothing when we need their help! Anima –Exmoo News visited us as volunteers!

Today 11 people visited us, six were volunteers from Exmoo News! They came to do volunteer work in our cats’ area and play with our animals! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of October, we had 4,761 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 4,549 in the same period of 2014! 47 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! Anima – Adopt or  get adopters and get a 5,000 cash prize!

Anima is launching a monthly adoption cash reward, beginning today! Why? We need more space for animals rescued as the number of abandonments is increasing substantially and next year one construction site may be redeveloped and we need to get prepared to save 60 to 70 dogs! If we have no space in Anima we are not able to help! Lucky draws will take place on the first Sunday of every month at 4:00 pm in Anima headquarters, beginning on 6th December! This is a win-win process: if we have more adopters we can save more animals and you will have more chances to get the cash prizes! We have visited the Sheng Kung Hui Secondary School!

An Anima team leader by our Executive Committee Vice-President Mr. Billy Chan has visited the Sheng Kung Hui secondary school today. Around 13 students were involved in this education event. Anima – November return to site (SPP1549-Siu Fa)!

SPP1549-Siu Fa was rescued by Anima on 17th October 2015, after a call from Mr. Lee reporting that Siu Fa, now a dog under our Special Protection Program, was bitten by other dogs in a construction site. 1524-Paxton, 1525-Payton, 1526-Parker, 1527-Paulette, 1528-Paulina and 1529-Pauline were rescued by Anima in Coloane on 21st September 2015, after a call from Mr. Edgar. C1068-Jacobina was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Vivi that delivered her to us. C1068-Jacobina is the mother of C1060-Jacinta, C1061-Jagger and C1062-Jaiman that were rescued by Anima in Rua do Campo on 24th, October after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that three kittens were found there.
