Anima-Civic Education Center of UGAMM visited us!

<26-06-2021> Today, we were visited by 51 people, of which 23 were from the Civic Education Center of UGAMM (General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau) on a visit to our Cats' Paradise. The group interacted cheerfully with our furry friends. Thank you for your visit! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! Anima-June Rescue and Return (SPP2371-Hac Mui III)!

<20-06-2021> Our efforts to reduce the number of stray animals in Macau have continued today with one more dog being rescued, spayed and returned. SPP2371-Hac Mui III (F), around one year old, is registered in our Special Protection Program (SPP) and living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site at Povoação de Lai Chi Vun. Today, Hac Mui III was rescued, spayed in a clinic and safely returned to her original site after surgery. Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima-Macau Baptist College visited us!

<19-06-2021> We were visited by 42 people today, of which 13 were from Macau Baptist College on a visit to our Dogs' Shelter. The students learnt a bit more about Anima’s work and walked some of our furry friends! Thank you for your visit and support! Anima-June Rescue and Return (SPP2373, SPP2374, SPP2375)!

<19-06-2021> Three dogs under our SPP program received assistance from Anima today. SPP2373-Aerobic (M), SPP2374-Queen (F) and SPP2375-MoMo (F), all between two and three years old, live in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng's responsibility. They were registered under our SPP program yesterday, when Mr. Ng has asked us for help as Aerobic showed up with a head injury. Queen and MoMo also have health issues and have been losing weight. Our team managed to rescue Aerobic and Queen today and sent them to a clinic. The wounds of Aerobic were treated and he returned to his original site after consultation. SPP2374-Queen, however, has severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. She tested POSITIVE with Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. She was the hero of the day and returned to our shelter after...

Anima–June Sad News (C2093-Spenlia)!

<13-06-2021> Our cat C2093-Spenlia has passed away today. Among several health issues, Spenlia had been suffering from severe pancreatitis and, despite all medical care, her health continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Spenlia was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten her agony. R.I.P. our friend! Anima-June Adoption (2417-Nena)!

<12-06-2021> Our Nena was adopted today by Ms. Fong! 2417-Nena (F) was rescued by Anima on 15th October 2020, when she was one year old. She was collected by Anima after a call reporting that a cat had fallen into a patio at Edf. Mayfair Court in Rua de Francisco António. Nena was rescued and hospitalized in a clinic, as her pelvis was fractured. After recovery, she was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Nena found a forever family. <12-06-2021> SPP2371-Hac Mui III (F), a dog around one year old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site at Povoação de Lai Chi Vun. Anima will support with a spay surgery in order to prevent her from getting pregnant. <12-06-2021> SPP2370-Sai Ngan Mui (F), a dog around one year old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since June 12th, 2021. She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site in Cotai. To prevent her from getting pregnant, Sai Ngan Mui was rescued today and sent to a clinic, in order to be neutered. Spayed and recovered, Sai Ngan Mui was returned to the original site after surgery. These efforts are part of Anima’s commitment to reduce the number of stray dogs in Macau. Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Rescue (2372-Wong Choi Mui)!

<12-06-2021> 2372-Wong Choi Mui (F), a 16-year-old dog, was rescued by Anima on 12 June 2021, following a call from Ms. Ieong, an Anima Board Member, reporting that a skinny dog was found wandering on the road of Praia Do Manduco. Our team was mobilized and noticed the dog was microchipped. IAM was informed and assisted us contacting the owner. The owner, however, claimed to be unable to continue taking care of the dog due to financial reasons. Wong Choi Mui was diagnosed with Mammary Gland Tumor and Pyometra last year and has, inclusively, received surgery. Wong Choi Mui was then welcomed into our Dogs’ Shelter. The dog’s ownership will be transferred to Anima and she will be taken to a clinic for a health check this coming week. Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet should be a crime!
