Anima–Rescue May (SQ008-Peanut)!

<01-05-2021> SQ008-Peanut, a baby squirrel, was rescued by Anima on the 1st May 2021, after a call from Ms. Helga reporting to have found a small squirrel, apparently with a broken leg, in the trail near Hac Sa Water Reservoir. Peanut was sent to a clinic and he’s now hospitalized receiving treatment. Thank you for the warning call, Ms. Helga! Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! Anima-Kao Yip Middle School visited us!

<24-04-2021> Today, we were visited by 77 people, of which 21 were from Kao Yip Middle School. The students gave us a helpful hand volunteering at our Cats’ Paradise. Anima–April Sad News (T012-ARTM 1)!

<24-04-2021> Our turtle T012-ARTM1 has passed away today. She was found inactive in our pond a few days ago and hospitalized in a clinic for treatment. She was diagnosed with sepsis and, this morning, we were informed by the clinic that she didn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (C2250-Nora)!

<24-04-2021> C2250-Nora (F), around two years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 11th December 2019, after a call reporting that several cats were being attacked by dogs in Penha Hill. Nora was rescued pregnant and gave birth to three kittens. Since then, she stayed at our Cats’ Paradise. A couple months ago, Nora started experiencing difficulties breathing, having diarrhea and losing her appetite. She was taken to a private clinic, where she tested positive for FCoV and FIV. There were also suspicions that she was infected with FIP. Despite all medical care, her health condition continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Nora was euthanized in the clinic in an effort to shorten her agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-Social Service Team of M.U.S.T. visited us!

<18-04-2021> We were visited by 60 people today, including a visit from the Social Service Team of Macau University of Science and Technology. Several students volunteered at our shelters: 16 at Dogs’ Shelter and nine at Cats’ Paradise. We are grateful for your visit and support! Anima–April Rescue (C2574-Carson)!

<17-04-2021> C2574-Carson (M), a cat around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 17th April 2021, following a facebook message from Ms. Lio reporting to have seen a cat near the Mail Exchange Centre at Estrada de D. Maria II. Carson was seen several times in the past few weeks wandering around different locations and Anima has been trying to rescue him since March, 7th. Our Rescue Team managed to rescue him today using a cat trap. Carson was immediately sent to a private clinic for consultation. Blood Test results were normal and he’s considered healthy. Carson was already neutered in the clinic today and will be welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise tomorrow. Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! Please help us to help them! <11-04-2021> Chelsea was fostered today by Ms. Sara! C1764-Chelsea (F), a cat around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 16th November 2017 from IAM.
