Anima in a Charity Movie Screening at Cinema Alegria!

<10-04-2021> Anima attended a Charity Movie Screening at Cinema Alegria today. The movie ‘Kung Fu Vacation’, produced by Ms. Esther Lim, a Macau local film director, was screened at the event. Ms. Esther Lim is also behind the organization of this fundraising and to her goes our big thank you! Our gratitude is extended to everyone who attended. Anima–April Adoption (C624-Thai)!

<03-04-2021> Thai was adopted by Ms. Chan today! C624-Thai was rescued by Anima on 16th December 2013, after a call reporting that a cat was found with both back legs broken. The cat was rescued and sent to a clinic for treatment. After recovering, Thai was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Thai found a forever family! Thanks for adopting, Ms. Chan! Anima–April Rescue (2360-Rolling)!

<03-04-2021> 2360-Rolling (M), a dog around one year old, was rescued by Anima on the 3rd April 2020, following a call from Mr. Kwong reporting that a dog was found lying unable to move on the roadside of Estrada do Altinho de Ka-Ho. Our team rescued Rolling and took him immediately to a clinic. X-ray results revealed that both his front leg and right hind leg were fractured in a total of four different areas. Surgical fracture repair procedure is needed in two separate surgeries. The costs will reach around MOP 25,000. If you are able to help Rolling, please donate to Anima. Our sincere thank you! Anima-M.U.S.T. visited us!

<28-03-2021> Today, we were visited by 112 people, of which 35 were from Macau University of Science and Technology. From this group, 19 students volunteered at our Dogs’ Shelter and 16 at our Cats’ Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima-March Newborns (C2565, C2566, C2567)!

<28-03-2021> Our cat C2528-Olive gave birth to three kittens today! Olive was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, following a Facebook message reporting that a friendly cat had been wandering near Patio do Gil. Our rescue team was mobilized and Olive was rescued and welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. We soon found out that she was pregnant. C2565-Sofia (F), C2566-Luca (M) and C2567-Antonio (M) were born this afternoon. Olive has been milk feeding them and all kittens are active. Please help us to help them! Anima–March Found and Fostered (2352-Coolio)!

<28-03-2021> Coolio was fostered today by Mr. Shaunessy! 2352-Coolio (M), a dog around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th March 2021 after being found wandering inside the car park of our Cats’ Paradise. Coolio was found dirty and without microchip. He was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. On 20th March 2021, Coolio managed to jump over our fences and escape. He was found this morning not far from Coloane Village by Mr. Shaunessy, who kindly accepted to foster Coolio from now on. We are grateful for all your support, Mr. Shaunessy! Anima-Kiang Peng School visited us!

<27-03-2021> Today, we were visited by 60 people, of which 26 were from Kiang Peng School. The students visited our Cats’ Paradise and gave us a helpful hand with some volunteer work. <27-03-2021> CH006-Joltik (F), a chinchilla around two or three months old, was rescued by Anima on 27th March, 2021 following a facebook message from Mr. Jerry reporting to have found a chinchilla abandoned in a tiny cage inside a plastic bag near Taipa’s Nam San Building. Anima-March Rescue (C2555-Lollipop)!

<21-03-2021> C2555-Lollipop (F), a kitten around four weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 21th March, 2021 following a call from Ms. Teresa reporting that a kitten had fallen from a high wall into her yard. Our Rescue Team was mobilized and Lollipop was rescued. Another kitten, C2368-Lazaro, was rescued by Anima in this site in similar circumstances in July, 2020. According to Ms. Teresa, the kitten’s mother has been living in the area for a few years and became pregnant multiple times. Inclusively, another kitten has passed away recently, after falling into a neighbors’ balcony. As the mommy might be nursing other kittens, we won’t rescue her for now. Anima will provide a spay surgery afterwards in order to prevent her from getting pregnant again. For safety, Lollipop was rescued and welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise.
