Anima-Escola de São José de Ká-Hó visited us!

<13-03-2021> Today, we were visited by 80 people, of which 17 were students from Escola de São José de Ká-Hó, on a visit to our Cats’ Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima–March Sad News (C2505-Nugget)!

<07-03-2021> Sadly, our kitten C2505-Nugget has passed away. Nugget was just one month old and had been together with her mother and siblings. Nugget was active and didn’t present any signs of sickness. Her mother is now under close observation and the remaining kittens will be fostered by our staff for special care. R.I.P. our dear friend! Anima–March Adoption (C2458-Mac Mac)!

<07-03-2021> Mac Mac was adopted by Ms. Ho today! 2458-Mac Mac (M), a cat about two years old by the time of the rescue, was collected by Anima on the 22nd December, 2020 after a call informing that a cat was hiding inactive under the bus kiosk of Macau Tower. Our Rescue team managed to rescue and send him to a clinic. He was confirmed healthy and welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Mac Mac found a forever home! Thank you for adopting, Ms. Ho! <06-03-2021> Today, we were visited by 59 people, of which 11 were students from The University of Macau on a visit to our Dogs’ Shelter. Anima–March Rescue (C2543-Tesla)!

<06-03-2021> C2543-Tesla (F), around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 6th March, 2021 after being caught by our staff wandering around the roofs of Cats’ Paradise. Tesla has no microchip and hasn’t been spayed. She was welcomed into our shelter and is currently under quarantine. This is the second mixed Bengal cat rescued this week, both caught in similar circumstances. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! Anima–February Rescued and Deceased (C2540-Catherine)!

<27-02-2021> C2540-Catherine (F), a cat around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 27th February, 2021 following a call from Mr. Ng reporting that a cat was found lying on the street of Caminho dos Artilheiros in front of Edf. Son Keng Kok. According to Mr. Ng, the cat had been seen wandering in that area for a couple weeks and probably fell from a height. Catherine was rescued by our team and sent to a clinic for further examination. X-ray results showed that both her left front leg and mandibular symphyseal were fractured. She also presented internal bleeding, pneumothorax and hematoperitoneum. Catherine stayed hospitalized and we were advised that a surgery could only be performed once her health condition stabilized. Sadly, we were later informed by the clinic that Catherine didn’t survive her multiple injuries. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet...

Anima-February Sad News (C2258-Zuma)!

<20-02-2021> Sadly, our cat C2258-Zuma has passed away in a clinic today. Zuma’s health has always been delicate since he was rescued with a leg fracture in December, 2019. He had been hospitalized several times due to different health issues and this week suffered a seizure and was found lethargic. Zuma was sent to a clinic for consultation, where he stayed hospitalized as a blood test revealed that his health was deteriorating. Unfortunately, we were informed that Zuma passed away today. Anima–February Adoption (C2479-Josie)!

<20-02-2021> Josie was adopted today by Ms. Ana Rute! C2479-Josie (F), around three months old at the time of the rescue, was collected by Anima on 10th January 2021, following a facebook message from Ms. Lio reporting that two sick kittens suffering from ocular discharge were seen in Pátio do Mungo. Josie was rescued by our team and immediately sent to a clinic. She would recover and was welcomed into our Cat’s Paradise. Today, Josie found a forever family! Thank you for adopting, Ms. Ana Rute! Anima-February Adoption (C2392, C2394)!

<14-02-2021> Nayomi and Nelly were adopted today by Mr. Wong! C2391-Nilah (F), C2392-Nayomi (F), C2393-Nicolette (F) and C2394-Nelly (M), all around two weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 14th September 2020, following a call from Ms. Carla reporting that a loud ‘meowing’ could be heard near Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro in the early morning. Four kittens were found and rescued since no adult female cat was found nearby. All kittens were temporarily fostered by our staff members for special care and milk feeding. Nayomi and Nelly were initially adopted on 21th November, 2020 but were later returned as one member of the family was suffering from severe allergies. They returned to the foster care of our staff. Today, Nayomi and Nelly found a forever home and were adopted by Mr. Wong. Thank you for adopting, Mr. Wong! Please help us to help them! If you want...
