Anima-October Rescue (2306-Yamaha)!

<10-10-2020> 2306-Yamaha (M), a poodle of around four years old, was rescued by Anima today. Mr. Dullin, a blue-card holder, visited our shelter claiming that he can no longer take care of Yamaha, since he was dismissed by his employer. Given the lack of possibilities and hoping that Yamaha can find an adopter soon, he was welcomed at our Dog Shelter. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! Never abandon your pets! Anima-October Rescue (C2402-C2408)!

<10-10-2020> C2402-Forky (newborn), C2403-Gabby (F), around one year old, C2404-Buzz (newborn) and C2405-Woody (newborn), as well as C2406-Tifa (F), C2407-Tova (F) and C2408-Terra (F), all around seven months old, were rescued by Anima on the 10th October 2020, following a visit to a site under the responsibility of an elderly lady, who has asked for our help with long-term food support for her animals. Unexpectedly, we were taken to a patio of a building where 11 cats were found in small cages, inside a narrow and dark improvised room. Due to the severe state they were in, without minimum living conditions, we immediately started developing plans to an extensive rescue operation, which started today. When our rescue team arrived to the site to start the rescue, a newborn kitten, C2402-Forky, was found meowing on the floor. We found out that a caged cat, C2403-Gabby (F) was in labor!...

Anima-September Sad News (613-Bruce)!

<27-09-2020> 613-Bruce (F) was in our shelter for almost ten years. Her condition deteriorated steadily after the first signs of health issues, when she started to get thinner. Further examination revealed anemia and early signs of kidney problems. Veterinary doctors also suspected that she could suffer of gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal tumor or Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She was hospitalized in a private clinic for several weeks without encouraging results, despite all efforts. Today, we were informed that Bruce passed away in the clinic. R.I.P., our friend! Anima–September Adoption (C2339-Bennie)!

<27-09-2020> Bennie was adopted by Ms. Lin! C2339-Bennie (M), around three years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 18th of May, 2020 following a call from Mr. Lam reporting that he heard the sound of a falling object on an alley near Rua do Padre João Clímaco and found a black and white cat lying there, inactive. Due to the heavy rain, he moved the cat to a shop nearby. Our rescue team went to the site and collected the cat. He had a visible small wound on his right front arm and was sent to Macau Kennel for consultation. X-ray result showed his pubic bone was broken and had some fluid on his lungs. His spine was also tilted. He had a lot of fleas and was defleaed at Macau Kennel. C2339-Bennie was then sent to a private clinic for consultation and treatment. On...

Anima–September Adoption (C2307-Orpah)!

<27-09-2020> Orpah was adopted by Ms. Fong! C2307-Orpah (F), around four months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 20th March, 2020 after a call from Mr. Ao reporting that a kitten was trapped inside a high air-vent on top of Royal Electronics Square on Luen San Square. The kitten had been seen there a couple days ago already. The Fire Department have, inclusively, visited the site but apparently without success. Our rescue team evaluated the site and was able to see the kitten at the vent, around 3-4 meters high, to which we had to request the assistance of I.A.M. (Macau Kennel). The air-vent was tightly locked and I.A.M. suggested setting a cat trap above the ceiling of Royal Electronics Supermarket on the next day, once the store was open. <20-09-2020> Today, we were visited by 16 people of the Lui Che Woo College of the University of Macau, on a visit to our Cat’s Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Anima–September Foster Family (2274-Goofy)!

<12-09-2020> Goofy was fostered by Mr. João! 2274-Goofy (M), a poodle around four years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 18th May, 2020 after our staff members found him tied up to a pole outside our Dog Shelter’s entrance in the early morning. He had been fostered by Ms. Cheang, who attended our request to temporarily foster Goofy when she adopted our other dog 2285-Piglet. He was returned to Anima today and will be under Mr. João’s foster care from now on. Thank you Mr. João, for giving Goofy a new home! Please help us to help them!
