Anima–April Sad News (C1600-Fern)!

<08-04-2018> C1600-Fern (F), was rescued by Anima on 16th June 2017 when she was around one year old, after a call from Ms. Lei, informing that she caught a cat in Av. Panorâmica do Lago Sai Van. C1600-Fern stayed at our Cats’ Paradise since that time. Unfortunately C1600-Fern passed away today due to renal failure. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–April Rescue (SPP1935-Keelan)!

<08-04-2018> SPP1935-Keelan (F),  under our Special Protection Program since 14th October 2017 when she was around eight months old, was rescued by anima after a call from Ms. Peng informing that SPP1935-Keelan was lethargic, paralyzed and with seizures. SPP1935-Keelan was sent to a clinic immediately. The result showed that she has Canine Distemper. SPP1935-Keelan has to stay at the clinic for close observation and treatment. Thanks Ms. Peng! Anima-Sacred Heart Canossian College ES visited us!

<07-04-2018> Today, 50 people visited us, 19 of them were from Sacred Heart Canossian College English Section that came to our Dog Shelter and Cats’ Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to March 2018, Anima received 2261 visitors, 25 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in three events! <07-04-2018> H014-Aggy (M), H015-Annie (M), H016-Bubba (M) and H017-Buddy (M), were rescued by Anima on 23rd December 2016, after a call from Ms. Kuok reporting that she found four hamsters  abandoned near the garbage bin in Rua de Évora. Anima–April Sad News (177-Jollie)!

<07-04-2018> 177-Jollie (F), was rescued by Anima in 2006 and was around twelve years old now. She was one of the dogs that staying with us for long time! 177-Jollie had kidney problem and was rechecked by our staff recently. We found that her condition was getting worst. 177-Jollie was sent to a clinic. The report showed that a tumor was found near her rectum. She had kidney failure with severe anemic. There was no way to improve her condition. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–April Rescue (B093-Flash)!

<07-04-2018> B093-Flash was rescued by Anima on 7th April 2018, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting that a baby pigeon, B093-Flash fell down outside of his shop and was unable to fly. Anima–April Rescue (SPP740-Lucky)!

<06-04-2018> SPP740-Lucky (M), was under our Special Protection Program since 2013 and was rescued by Anima on 6th April 2018, after a call from Mr. Seng and Mrs. Hoi informing that SPP740-Lucky’s rump was found swollen. SPP740-Lucky was sent to a clinic for consultation. He had abscesses due to wound infection. The vet helped putting a temporary tube into the wound to drain out pus, blood and fluid from the abscess. SPP740-Lucky is staying at the clinic for treatment. Mrs. Hoi will help us pay for the expenses. Thanks Mr. Seng and Mrs. Hoi! Please help us to help them! Anima–April Adoption (C1852-Axell)!

<05-04-2018> Axell was adopted by Mr. Silva on 5th April 2018! C1852-Axell (M), was rescued by Anima on 16th February 2018 when he was around 1.5 months old, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that a kitten was found alone at the Forte de Mong Ha. She asked us for help. C1852-Axell was checked by our vet and dewormed. C1852-Axell has stayed with us and was now adopted. Thanks Mr. Silva! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–April Rescue (2016-Cadman)!

<05-04-2018> 2016-Cadman (M), around one month old, was rescued by Anima on 5th April 2018, with the help of Mr. Lei reporting that he found a puppy, 2016-Cadman, alone in the Cemitério Unido das Associações de Coloane. He brought 2016-Cadman to our Cats’ Paradise for help. 2016-Cadman was checked by our staff and dewormed. He had some ticks and some rashes on his skin. Anima- April Return to Family (C1716, C1253, C1602)!

<04-04-2018> C1716-Laf, C1253-Hambly and C1602-Flyer were returned to the family after accommodating in Anima for seven days since 29th March 2018. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima does not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Be our member!
