Anima–February Sad News (C1733-Asia)!

<28-02-2018> The mother cat C1732-Africa (F), around two years old at that time, together with her five kittens, C1733-Asia (F), C1734-Alta (F), C1735-Amata (F), C1736-Amicus (M) and C1737-Antal (M), all around three months old at that time, were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2017. All of them were brought to Cats’ Paradise by Ms. Ofélia and Ms. Siedy. According to Ms. Ofélia the cats were found in Choc Van. That was the second time the mother cat C1732-Africa gave birth to six kittens. They managed to give away one kitten for adoption and they asked our help for the rest. All of the cats were checked by our vet and dewormed. They stayed at the Cats’ Paradise since that time. On 22nd February 2018 C1733-Asia was found with upper respiratory infection and fever. Anima-Luen Ying Hung Limited visited us!

<27-02-2018> Today, 17 people visited us, five of them were from Luen Ying Hong Limited that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! In January 2018, we had 655 visitors, we had six groups of schools, companies and associations and we have participated in two activities out of Anima! Anima-February Return to Family (C1404-Tigger)!

<26-02-2018> C1404-Tigger has finished his accommodation in Anima for 15 days and returns home now! C1404-Tigger was temporarily accommodated at Cats’P aradise since 12th February 2018 as the family was going for vacation. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima does not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members and adopters!Be our member! Be part of our team! Never Abandon your pet! Anima-February Return to Family (1997-Woody)!

<26-02-2018> 1997-Woody has finished his accommodation in Anima for 18 days and returns home now! 1997-Woody was temporarily accommodated at our shelter since 8th February 2018 as the family was going for vacation. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. Anima–February Sad News (B090-Bravo)!

<26-02-2018> B090-Bravo was rescued by Anima on 23rd February 2018, after a call from Ms. Michele reporting that a Zebra dove B090-Bravo was found in Taipa and was unable to fly. She asked us for help. B090-Bravo was sent to a clinic. Unfortunately we were informed by the clinic that B090-Bravo  passed away at night. R.I.P. my friend!Please help us to help them! Anima–February Adoption (1948-Dominic)!

<26-02-2018> Dominic was adopted by Ms. Lok on 26th February 2018! Seven puppies, 1942-Ditte (F), 1943-Diza (F), 1944-Durian (F), 1945-Daylen (M), 1946-Dickson (M), 1947-Domingo (M) and 1948-Dominic (M), were rescued by Anima on 2nd December 2017 in the morning outside our shelter. They were all around 2.5 months old at that time. They were in a cage and abandoned. 1948-Dominic has stayed with us since that time. He was adopted today! Thanks Ms. Lok! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–February Sad News (C1854-Sole)!

<25-02-2018> C1850-Clancy (F), was rescued by Anima on 15th February 2018 when was around two years old, after a call from Mr. Lou reporting that there was a cat hiding on the roof of his building. C1850-Clancy was injured and  pregnant at that time. On 25th February 2018 we found that C1850-Clancy has been laboring for two days but still no signs of being in pain. We only found some tiny drops of blood on the towels. C1850-Clancy was sent to a clinic for consultation. C1850-Clancy was having miscarriage and need to have surgery immediately to take out the fetus. The fetus C1854-Sole was taken out from the uterus of C1850-Clancy. C1854-Sole was deformed and was already dead when being taken out. The condition of C1850-Clancy was stable, but her surgical wound was big and need to stay at the clinic for close observation. February Rescue and Sad News (SPP1999-SPP2005)!

<24-02-2018> The mother dog, SPP1999-Bea (F), around three years old, with the six puppies, SPP2000-Babak (M), SPP2001-Baako (F), SPP2002-Benita (F), SPP2003-Betsy (F), SPP2004-Bettina (F) and SPP2005-Borbala (F), all around 1.5 months old , are under our Special Protection Program now and were rescued by Anima on 24th February 2018 after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that the mother dog SPP1999-Bea gave birth to six puppies one month ago. Mr. Wong is responsible for them in that area. However he found the puppies became lethargic, tired and not eating, especially SPP2005-Borbala was in high fever, nasal and ocular discharge and with seizure as well. He asked us for help. All of them were sent to a clinic immediately. SPP2005-Borbala passed away when we arrived  the clinic. Anima–February Sad News (C1774-Goddess)!

<23-02-2018> C1774-Goddess (F), was rescued by Anima on 17th November 2017 when was seven months old, after a call from Ms. Michele reporting that she found a cat on the street near Nam San. The cat was half covered in glue and needed medical support. She brought C1774-Goddess to us. C1774-Goddess was checked by our vet and  the gluewas removed  from the body and stayed at our Cats Paradise. On 14th February 2018 C1774-Goddess had nasal and ocular discharge. She was getting skinny, dehydrated and in low temperature. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. The blood test showed she had severe renal problem, pancreatitis and low red blood cells. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help...

News, SPP Returned

Anima – February Return (SPP1996-Ultraman)!

<23-02-2018> SPP1996-Ultraman (M), under our special protection program was rescued by Anima on 7 February 2018 when was around five years old, after a call from a worker Mr. Chow informing that SPP1996-Ultraman lived on a site and was sick at that time. SPP1996-Ultraman had nasal discharge and low appetite. He might contracted Canine distemper as he lived near the site where some dogs had already got canine distemper and tick fever before. SPP1996-Ultraman was sent to a clinic. The report showed he diagnosed canine distemper. He stayed at the clinic for treatment. He has recovered now and returned to his former place today.
