Anima–February Sad News (C1291-Hac Bak)!

<02-02-2018> C1291-Hac Bak (M), was rescued by Anima on 24th September 2016 when he was 11 years old, after a call from Ms. Fong referring that an old man lived with his six cats in Edf. Man Fong and they were forced to move out of the apartment. All of his belongings were thrown out to the street including his cats. We collected some of his cats and some had run away at that time. C1291-Hac Bak has been having upper respiratory tract infection since 1st January 2018. He was sent to a clinic for treatment and was diagnosed with cat flu. On 31st January he had improved a lot and returned to us. However he was not eating since coming back. He was found shaking, difficult in breathing, with nasal discharge and jaundice. Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (1992-Bernie)!

<01-02-2018> 1991-Bao (F) and 1992-Bernie (F), at that time around 1.5 months old, were rescued by our rescue team on 1st February 2018 during their daily feeding somewhere in Coloane. One of the puppies, 1992-Bernie had seizure and suspected to have canine distemper, so we collected both of them. 1991-Bao and 1992-Bernie were sent to a clinic for checking. Both of them had Canine Distemper. As 1992-Bernie had seizure and was suffering in pain, there was nothing to do to improve her situation. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–February Sad News (SPP1941-Jaleh)!

<01-02-2018> SPP1941-Jaleh (F), SPP1939-Jahid (M) and SPP1940-Jagna (F), all were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 22nd November 2017 when they were around seven months old at that time. Ms. Choi is responsible for them in that area. On 1st February 2018 we received a call from Mr. Augusto from ARTM reporting that a dead body of a black dog was found near the New Prison in Coloane. He said that a black dog was crashed by a heavy truck and the lower body was destroyed. When our rescue team arrived, it was hard to identify the dog. We contacted Ms. Choi as we suspected the dog may be SPP1941-Jaleh. According to Ms. Choi, SPP1941-Jaleh had been missing for around a month already. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima in IACM Animal Protection Law Promotion Day!

<03-12-2017> Anima had participated in the Animal Protection Law Promotion Day organized by IACM at Tap Seac Square on last Sunday afternoon! Our Vice President Mr. Guy represented us to attend the event. Also we set up an adoption counter and brought two of our dogs there! Around 15 people were with us! Anima-December Rescue (C1795-Latrell)!

<06-12-2017> C1795-Latrell (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 6th December 2017, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that someone abandoned a cat in her building in Patio da Quina. C1795-Latrell was tied to the staircase.  C1795-Latrell continued to stay in staircase of the building even after the mother of Ms. Wong free the cat.. The environment was dangerous for the cat as there was a big hole between the fences that Latrell may fall down of the building. C1795-Latrell was caught by us and checked by our vet. Anima-December Return to Family (1827-Eris)!

<04-12-2017> 1827-Eris was returned to the family after being accommodated in Anima for 11 days, since 23rd November 2017. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Anima-December Rescue (1949-Santiago)!

<04-12-2017> 1949-Santiago (M), around eight months old, was rescued by Anima on 4th December 2017 from IACM. 1949-Santiago was caught by IACM on 21st November 2017 and he has stayed in Macau Kennel for 14 days since then. We are trying to help the dogs from the Macau Kennel as much as possible. 1949-Santiago was vaccinated and may be adopted by our board member Ms. Julia Brockman. Anima-Students of Pui Ching Middle School helped us!

<03-12-2017> Today, 37 people visited us, five of them were from Pui Ching Middle School that came to our Cat's Paradise to do volunteer work! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life!ˇ More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to November 2017, Anima received 8,497 visitors, an increase of 32.6% as compared with the same period of last year. 127 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 35.1%, and we have been in 30 events organized by friends or by us!
