Anima-Sheung Kung Hui Taipa Youth Service visited us!

<07-10-2017> Today, 26 people visited us, seven of them were from Sheung Kung Hui Taipa Youth Service Team that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to September 2017, Anima received 6,923 visitors, an increase of 31.8% as compared with the same period of last year. 108 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 40.3%, and we have been in 29 events organized by friends or by us! Anima-October Adoption (1880-Golden II)!

<07-10-2017> Golden II was adopted by Ms. Sou on 7th October 2017! Please see Golden when rescued by us and now after five months with us! 1880-Golden II (M), around one year old at that time, was rescued by Anima on the 10th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sally, informing that she found a golden retriever, 1880-Golden II, in Seac Pai Van Lok Kuan Building and asked our help. Golden II was starving and had skin problems. No microchip was found. Golden II is an active dog and very friendly to everyone and loves to run a lot! He has stayed with us and now he was adopted. Anima-October Adoption (C1635-Ari)!

<07-10-2017> Ari was adopted by Ms. Lei on 7th October 2017! C1635-Ari (M), around three weeks old at that time, was rescued by Anima on 7th July 2017, after a call from Ms. Choi reporting that a kitten was found in Rua da Felicidade and she told us that she had no experience to take care to new born kitten. C1635-Ari was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has stayed with us and was now adopted. Thanks Ms. Lei! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima-October Sad News (SPPC1416-Barry)!

<06-10-2017> SPPC1416-Barry (M), around three months old at that time, was under our Special Protection Program and was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2017, after a call from Michele, reporting that her friend, Mr. Daniel, found a kitten near Ponte 16 the night before. Barry was checked by our vet and dewormed. He had diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infection at that time. On 4th April 2017 he was found with a swollen eye, conjunctivitis and corneal ulceration. He has no socket in his joints and shoulder and as so he had difficulty in walking. He also had a poor bone growing in his front leg. He has been taking pain killer for a very long time and he entered in suffer. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and...

Anima-October Sad News (B082-Vite)!

<06-10-2017> B082-Vite was rescued by Anima on 4th October 2017, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that she found an injured bird in Area Preta. She put it in a box and tried to feed it but the bird refused to eat. She asked us for help and we sent it to a clinic. Vite was very weak, the feather has some glue on it and the right leg was injured. It stayed at the clinic for observation. Unfortunately, it passed away last night. R.I.P. my friend! Anima-October Rescue (C1725-Fia)!

<06-10-2017> C1725-Fia (F), around three weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 6th October 2017, after a call from Ms. Choi saying that her friend found an injured kitten falling from an apartment. C1725-Fia was put in a paper bag and was left in a hair salon nearby. Mr. Chan from the salon took care of her and waited for our rescue team. C1725-Fia was sent to a clinic and stayed there for observation. Thanks Ms. Choi and Mr. Chan! Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us for adopting or fostering! Anima-October Foster (C1626-Lemon)!

<06-10-2017> Lemon was fostered by Ms. Wong again on 6th October 2017! C1626-Lemon (M), around five years old at that time, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2017, after a call from Ms. Cheong reporting that she rescued a cat in Guia Hill when she heard there were some people poisoning the cats. C1626-Lemon was temporarily fostered by Ms. Wong on 4th September 2017. However, he was sick on 18th September and stayed with us until recovery. Now he returned to Ms. Wong´s home again. Anima-October Sad News (SPPC1160-Velvet)!

<06-10-2017> SPPC1160-Velvet (F), around two years old at that time, was under our Special Protection Program from 14th April 2016. She was brought to Anima through Michele on 28th June 2016, reporting that Velvet was found severely dehydrated and apathic. She has Gingivitis and her gums were inflamed. Her right front limb was limping as well at that time. Velvet has been staying with us for treatment since then. Recently she was diagnosed FIP and getting skinny and dehydrated. Her condition was getting worse and entered in suffer. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet!
