According to our Irish partners, confirmed by Hong Kong sources and Grey2k USA Worldwide, 24 new Irish greyhounds will arrive Macau this Friday 13th of May. Anima sources near the shipping companies confirm that the 24 Irish Greyhounds will arrive Macau (at bridge 27) between 17:00 to 17:30! The export of those animals is making a big mess in Ireland and is damaging the image of Macau as a friendly and international city of leisure and entertainment. Lots of bad publicity to Macau, published all over the world, news in the international media (TVs, radios and newspapers) and in the social networks are destroying all the work done by our Government in the last years! Anima – Please support the march on 30 April!

We are against all forms of cruelty! When in 2014 we asked the Macau Chief Executive to speed up an administrative regulation to stop the cruelty towards the animals, we were alone. This administrative regulation could be passed in less than one week and doesn’t need the approval of the Legislative Assembly (LA). We were giving to LA enough time to prepare a good law. Two years afterwards, no law has been passed and Anima was not listened at all in all this process of legislation. The event that is co-organized by some animal welfare associations (Anima has not been invited as co-organizer) should be supported by all the community. Anima – Please read our letters and be inside our fights!

Anima has decided from the first beginning to have its opinion over animal welfare in a “black and white” way! We mean, studying and discussing all the issues, writing and giving our opinions in order to facilitate to our Authorities the best decisions. Unfortunately we have to confess, we are not being properly listened! However, this is our way to fight against the cruelty environment surrounding our animals! We are not against the community that goes to the streets and uses this way to fight for what they think is the most appropriate way to succeed! ANIMA-Albergue SCM helps Anima!

Albergue SCM opened to the public its “Wishing Well” on 5th February 2016, and the coins thrown inside were promised to Anima. Two donation boxes were also there, one near the wishing well and another inside the art gallery! We collected the donation box near the wishing well with a total amount of MOP 13,171.90! Anima – March 27th, Adoption Day in Flower City!

Beginning in February 2016, Anima is helding two adoption days outside Anima on the second and last Sunday of every month. Around 70 people have visited us today at Flower City in Taipa! We were supported by 9 volunteers, Wing, Oscar, Diana, Cristine, Vanessa, Simon, Ines, Winnie, Ruby and we took seven of our dogs. Today in the adoption day, we received five applications for adoption! As you may see a big dog over 23 kilos is gently being playing with kids with no muzzle! Muzzling  dogs is insane!
