Anima – Apple Daily News of Hong Kong has visited us!

Today 17 people visited us, two were reporters from Apple Daily News of Hong Kong! They came to interview Anima regarding our campaign for the closing of Canidrome! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of September, we had 4,185 visitors an increase of 5.2% as compared with 3,980 in the same period of 2014! 44 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! The Facts of Canidrome: Why Canidrome must close? What Anima will do to save those animals?

Dear friend, Please Help us to Close the Canidrome! Did you know that every dog that is brought here to race is doomed to die? That's right, several hundred greyhounds are imported from Australia every year to be used and abused at the Canidrome racetrack each year and not one of them gets out alive. Thankfully, we now have an extraordinary opportunity to shut down the worst dog track in the world. But we need your help to do it! Please help us to help them! Anima – Please help us to help our greyhounds!

Our on-line petition to the Macau Chief Executive reached today at 10:13 am the amount of 235,961 supporters! We have launched the petition on April and we have stopped collecting signatures after around one month as the majority of people prefers to do it on-line. In less that one month only going out for few days we have collected in Macau around 2,000 supporters! We decided to concentrate collecting supporters on-line and we have sent emails to all the 165 international animal welfare organizations that support our fight for the end of that business made with the blood of our greyhounds! 65 of these organizations are from Mainland China! On 23rd of July, Anima holds an International Roundtable on Greyhounds in Macau inviting 10 International Organizations, two from Mainland China, three from Hong Kong and one from Taiwan. Anima, Masdaw and Mawa are together against the killing of so many young animals by the Macau Canídrome!
