Anima–Return and Abandonment (C854-Macaron)!

<27-12-2016> C854-Macaron (M) was born in Anima with C852-Scone and C853-Tiramisu on 3rd December 2014. The mother, C818-Kiko,  was rescued already pregnant with other cats at Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta on 18th October 2014. Macaron was adopted on 30th January 2015. However, he was returned today as the adopter said their new born baby has an allergy. Macaron is staying in our Cat Paradise now. Never abandon your pet! Abandon a pet is cruelty! Anima–Return and Abandonment (1502-Saskia)!

<19-12-2016> 1502-Saskia (F), with an estimated age of six years old now, was rescued by Anima on 21st July 2015, after a call from Ms. Zheng reporting that a dog was found limping in Rua do Visconde Paço de Arcos (Near Bridge 16). Saskia had difficulties to move. 1502-Saskia was sent to a clinic immediately for an X-Rays. The result showed she had not a fracture but a hernia. She would stay with us forever unless adopted as she was not in condition to be released! Saskia was adopted on 16th December 2016. However, she was returned today as the adopter said his daughter has an allergy. There is a probation period for all animals and adopters of 15 days! Abandonment, Cooperation Anima-IACM (SPP1443)!

<15-12-2016> Anima is taking care of around 30 dogs in Coloane kennel under an agreement between IACM and Anima! This agreement allows IACM and Anima to keep some dogs caught by IACM alive in Coloane kennel under Anima management! SPP1443-Seafood (M) was one of the dogs living there. He was adopted on 13th October 2016 and was returned to Macau Kennel on 21st November 2016. The explanation of the adopter was that she has no time to take him for daily walks, and her environment has become cluttered and unmanageable as Seafood has been sick twice and  had ticks. Please think carefully before you make an adoption decision! Be sure you are able to take care of them. Seafood was transferred to Coloane Kennel for adoption today. He is under Anima staff management. All animals in Coloane Kennel have play times as this is a principle in Anima. No animal is caged, no animal is killed! IACM...

Anima-Return and Abandonment (SPPC1293, SPPC1294)!

<11-12-2016> SPPC1292-Ava (F), SPPC1293-Homer (M) and SPPC1294-Pigeon (F), were rescued by Anima through Michele with an estimated age of five months old, on 24th September 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Ava had upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. She was sneezing, the right eye lid was reddish and inflamed. She was under medication. Homer and Pigeon were healthy and stayed with us for adoption. Homer and Pigeon were adopted on 1st December 2016. However, they were returned today as the adopter said they were always fighting with each other, especially during midnight, which caused a lot of noise and their neighbours were complaining. Abandonment, Cooperation Anima-IACM (SPP1770)!

<02-12-2016> SPP1770-Whistle (M), on the time with an estimated age of three years old, together with SPP1771-Fat Boy (M), on the time with an estimated age of 2.5 years old, were under our Special Protection Program, after being rescued by Anima on 15th August 2016, following a call from Ms. Chan reporting that two dogs were found injured after a fight in the site of MGM. According to the guard, Whistle was bitten by seven dogs that were all living in another site. Whistle and Fat Boy were sent to a clinic for treatment. Multiple holes were found on Whistle’s body, the chest, the abdomen and the left shoulder. As the wounds were very wide and deep, he needed over 60 stitches to close all them up. Whistle had a severe bleeding and was under IV Dripping. Fat Boy had two wounds on the testicles, the left thigh got a deep hole...

Abandonment, Cooperation Anima-IACM (1397-Addis)!

<01-12-2016> 1397-Addis (M), formerly a  puppy under our SPP, was adopted on 19th March 2015. Addis was one of the five puppies of SPP1393-Adelina that was found pregnant and rescued by us on 22nd January 2015. Anima was informed by IACM on 24th June 2016 that 1397-Addis was rescued by a resident in a street and delivered to Macau kennel on 15th June 2016. Anima tried to contact the former adopter with no success! Addis was in IACM waiting that the adopter receives the letter from IACM. We would collect him back if the adopter abandon him! We were so ashamed of this adopter! We never disclose the names of who abandoned the animals adopted from us but remember we have posts of all our activity from at least the first of January 2015! Anima–December Abandonment (C1311-Yuki)!

<1-12-2016> C1311-Yuki (M), with an estimated age of eight years old, was supposed to be accommodate in Anima for seven days, from 15th October 2016 to 22nd October 2016. According to the owner, Yuki was given to him by his friend. The owner had paid one week accommodation fee. In the first beginning, we were still able to contact him, but after he just disappeared without telling anything. On the date he supposed to pick up Yuki, which he didn’t, his first excuse was his girlfriend forgot to come. Few days after, he second excuse was, he was moving apartment and was too busy. And one more week after, he was not attending the phone anymore. Our president and our Supervisor sent messages to him but got no reply at all. Anima – October Abandonment in IACM (833-Blair)!

<06-10-2016> 832-Serina (F) and 833-Blair (F), together with 831-Sakura, 834-Anny, 835-Dina, 836-Bali, 837-Don and 838-Benson were rescued by Anima on 22nd June 2012, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that there were eight puppies in the airport that needed our help. Serina and Blair were adopted  on 15th July 2012. However, Serina was returned to Anima on 4th July 2013 and  the excuse of the adopter was he couldn’t take care of two dogs. Today Blair was abandoned in Macau Kennel. We tried to understand the reason, but the adopter was rude telling  us that this is not  our business. He is wrong! He didn't read the adoption form properly! Blair is staying in Macau Kennel now, she will be transferred to Coloane Kennel for adoption after spay. August Return and Abandonment (C1219-Temple)!

<13-08-2016> C1219-Temple (M), on the time around two weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 18th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that a kitten, C1219-Temple, was found in a carton box at Calçada da Barra near A-Ma Temple. He was very weak, with hypothermia, couldn’t open the left eye, both eyes got yellowish discharge and a watery nasal discharge too. Temple was adopted on 12th August 2016. However, Temple was returned today as the adopter said he looked very strange and couldn’t get along with her cats. There is a probation period for all animals and adopters of 15 days! July Abandonment and Rescue (C1239 to C1243)!

<22-07-2016> 1239-Handsome (M, de-sexed), C1240-B Loi (F), C1241-Playful (F), C1242-Fei Mui (F, de-sexed) and C1243-Pineapple (M, de-sexed) were rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Lou informing that she wants to abandon her nine cats. That was not the first time she tried to do that. Last time the daughter didn’t authorize. After talk she changed her mind and decided  to abandon the five most active cats promising to find a good home for the remaining. This is cruelty! Do you know that by our new law cats can be abandoned without any penalty? Do you know that the majority of animals abandoned are cats? Do you know that Anima was against this?
