Anima – June Sad News (SPP1754-Boy)!

SPP1754-Boy (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 25th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina reporting that a puppy, SPP1754-Boy, now under our Special Protection Program was abandoned by the owner in Taipa near a place where we have two people working for us helping tens of dogs. Boy has severe attacks of epilepsy. He has been checked in one clinic but the prescription was not being effective. So, we decided to move to another clinic where he stayed overnight for observation. Boy went in suffer and after the vet favorable opinion and two board members we decided to put in sleeping! R.I.P my friend! Please don’t be cruel! Anima – June Sad News (1585-Bo Bo II)

Bobo left us today, 20th June 2016! 1585-Bo Bo II, a 15 years old male dog, was rescued by Anima on 22nd November 2015, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she could not keep her dog (1585-Bo Bo II) anymore as he always pee everywhere and this was creating family problems. Anima decided to help Bo Bo with three conditions: the family should pay a visit to him every week, he must be capable to socialize with the old dogs in the Association corridor where we have 111-Ben, 1145-Tuga and 1439-Zac during day time and he must be friendly to people, as this is an area where visitors have access and the only place available for him! B030-Kids was rescued by Anima on 11th June 2016, after a call from Mr. So reporting that a bird was found in Largo da Companhia de Jesus this morning and he was not able to fly. He asked us to help. Anima – June Sad News (C1215-Calla)!

Calla left us today, 11th June 2016! C1173-Cheddar (F), was rescued by Anima on 21st April 2016, after a call from Mr. Wai informing that Cheddar fall down from the terrace of Jardim da Victoria (Block H). Our rescue team found Cheddar trapped in a closed terrace of the building. She was collected, checked and dewormed. Cheddar was dehydrated, had fever and gum problems. She was also pregnant! Cubbie was born by Cheddar on 5th June 2016 but died during the process. The other two babies, Caelan and Calla were taken out by surgery. Caelan died on 9th and now Calla died also! R.I.P. my friend! Anima – June Sad News (C1210-Shahi)!

Shahi died today, 11th June 2016! C1189-Sabrin (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 10th May 2016, after a call from Ms. Kou reporting that she found a pregnant cat at R. de João de Araujo. Sabrin was picked up by our rescue team and checked by our vet. Her belly was very big and tense, the spirit seemed good, but the ears were dirty. She gave birth to C1208-Sage (M), C1209-Sirus (M), C1210-Shahi (F), C1211-Saber (M) and C1212-Salmo (M) on 31st May 2016. Unfortunately Sage was found dead that morning, Salmo died on 9th and Saber on 10th! Now Shahi left us also! R.I.P. my friend! June New Born and Sad News (C1213, C1214, C1215)!

C1173-Cheddar (F), on the time around 10 months old, was rescued by Anima on 21st April 2016, after a call from Mr. Wai informing that Cheddar fell down from the terrace of Jardim da Victoria (Block H). Our rescue team found Cheddar trapped in a closed terrace of the building. She was collected, checked and dewormed. Cheddar was dehydrated, had fever and gum problems. She was also  pregnant! Cubbie was born by Cheddar this morning, half of the body was out but the head was still stuck inside, and had no vital sign when being found. Cheddar was sent to a clinic immediately and Cubbie was confirmed as dead. The other two babies, Caelan and Calla were also  taken out and they are fine and healthy. Anima – June Sad News (SPPC1109-Phedra)!

SPPC1109-Phedra (F), around seven years old, was rescued by Anima on 20th January 2016, after a call from Michele reporting that a cat was found with a nose injury somewhere in Taipa. Phedra’s nostril got crusted and her tongue was injured as well. Auscultation indicated heart problem (arrhythmias). Some teeth was missing and most of them were worn. We were keeping an eye on her! She was getting worse and was sent to two clinics for second and third opinion. The crust of her nose was falling off, it was a big hole and the bone was totally exposed. The necrosis was so bad that could even see through the upper palate. According to the vet, the hole of her nose was getting bigger despite the chemotherapy, and her eyes could barely opened. The cancer had spread to the eyes and nervous system already. We did our best but she was already in suffer from Squamous cell...
