Anima – October Rescue and Sad News (1573-Trista)!

This post has strong images! If you are sensitive, please do not open! 1573-Trista, still a puppy, was rescued by Anima already dead after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that the body of a  dog  was found in Estrada da Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperança. The image shows clearly how horrible  was his death! Caught by a car or slaughtered by someone? R.I.P. my friend! Never abandon your pets! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! Please do not be cruel! Anima – October Sad News (C253-Micha)!

C253-Micha was recued by Anima on 13th May 2011. She was an old cat and older than her with us  in our shelter, we have only nine cats! More than 800 cats entered in Anima after her! She died today unexpectedly! Living in a crowded shelter creates a lot of risks to cats. If you want to abandon your cat in Anima, please reconsider. A shelter environment is not the most appropriate for a pet, even if we try our best to keep them in freedom and medically supervised! Any kind of virus (cat flu, FIP, etc) can provoke a real disaster in all other cats! We had in the past very complicated situations with animals that did because some virus had spread! And we still continue to face such problems as we may have around 30 cats, isolate from others, with serious health problems! Only if they enter in suffer we are authorized, always...

Anima – October Sad News (SPP1545-Marvis)!

SPP1545-Marvis was rescued by Anima on 7th October 2015, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that Marvis, living in a site, was weak and sick and was bitten by the adult dogs. He was really in very bad shape, severely dehydrated and full of fleas, ticks and worms! We have tried our best to save him! He deceased today! R.I.P. my friend! C1042-Caden and C1041-Cade and were rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Ng telling that a kitten with umbilical cord was found on the road of Avenida Leste do Hipódromo. Anima – October Rescue and Sad News (C1044-Viti)!

C1044-Viti was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Chio at 10:30 am, reporting that Viti was found dying in the street at Estabulo de Comidas A It Tai, on Av. da Amizade (NAPE). The cat was hiding in the corner of a vase in front of the restaurant, and was too weak to walk. She was taken immediately to a clinic. Her temperature was very low. Anima – September Sad News (180-Boneca)!

180-Boneca was Anima’s first dog under the Special Protection Program and lived in Hac Sa Beach for many years. She was rescued by Anima in 2004, hurt in one leg, and never accepted to live inside a house that was offered to her! Freedom was always  her choice! She was very gentle and gave birth there to several puppies. Anima help her and her babies there until was forced by the Authorities to put her inside Anima shelter on 23rd July 2014 with all her buddies that lived also there (Hac Chai, Hac Chai II, Pak Chai and Wu Choi) following a stupid complain of someone who used to go out of her house with her dog unleashed! All of them live now in Anima, not so happy as before as some of them even were born in Hac Sa Beach and all were used to go to the nearby...

Anima – September Sad News (C934-Kathy)!

C934-Kathy was rescued on 25th April 2015, together with C932-Karlah, C933-Keaton, C935-Katerino and C936-Kya, after a call from Michele reporting that six kittens were found somewhere in Taipa. C932-Karla, C933-Keaton, C934-Kathy and C935-Katerina were six weeks old. Kattie was sick for long and isolated from others as she had F.I.P.. Anima – August Sad News (C836-Garda and C1013-Glee)!

C836-Garda, was rescued on 10th November 2014, with around 1.5 years old, after a call from Ms. Chan that found her pregnant at Rua dos Colonos. She died yesterday unexpectedly, we suspect from liver problems! C1013-Glee was born by C960-Goldie on 30th July 2015, and just like C1012-Griffin, his sibling, he died during the night.
