Anima–March Sad News (C2689-Yolando)!

<22-03-2023> C2689-Yolando (M), around five years old back then, was rescued by Anima on 20th January 2022, after a message from Ms. Cheong referring that she saw an injured cat near the Buddhist Temple at Escada do Papel. Our Rescue team went to the site but couldn’t find the cat. Later, we were informed by another lady, Ms. Ng, that the injured cat, C2690-Yolando showed up in that area again. He was caught by a volunteer, Ms. Wong, and he was sent to a vet clinic for consultation. After being hospitalized, C2689-Yolando was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise! Recently, Yolando was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, he was FIV positive and diagnosed with kidney problems. Besides all medical efforts, C2690-Yolando passed away today. Anima–March Sad News (C2232-Holly)!

<16-03-2023> C2232-Holly (F), around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 10th November 2019, when she was brought to our Cats’ Paradise by Ms. Chan, claiming that she has been feeding her but found people putting rat poison where Holly lived and it could be dangerous for her. C2232-Holly was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise! Recently, Holly was sent to a clinic, as our staff reported that her spirit and appetite was not good. Blood test results showed severe anemia, mild inflammation and jaundice. Her liver also was swollen. Suspected the anemia was caused by an autoimmune problem. Steroids were prescribed and Holly had to be hospitalized. According to a vet, euthanize was suggested previously to end her unhealthy condition of life and suffering. Holly passed away today. Anima–February Sad News (C1049-Gisela)!

<27-02-2023> C1049-Gisela (F), was rescued by Anima on 11th October 2015, after a call from Mr. Chong reporting that a kitten, around three months old, was found in Iao Hon days before. The kitten had a black collar and as the weather was getting cold, he asked for our support. She was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise! Recently, Gisela was diagnosed with pancreatitis and kidney problems. She was hospitalized in a clinic for treatment and constant veterinary care. Anima–February Sad News (C1898-Peko)!

<24-02-2023> C1898-Peko (M), an adult cat, was rescued by Anima long time ago. Recently, with veterinary renal exams, blood clots were observed inside his kidney. Although not causing any serious health problem at the moment, a few bleedings could occur by a bladder infection or feline idiopathic cystitis. He stayed in a clinic for treatment. Anima–February Sad News (C2094-Yamsa)!

<24-02-2023> C2094-Yamsa (F), around three years old back then, was rescued on the 25th February 2019 after a call from IAM due to their lack of space. She was welcomed in our Cats’ Paradise! Recently, Yamsa had been under treatment and close observation as she had always been skinny, anemic and had an inflammation. Blood tests results showed severe anemia and kidney problems. She was sent to a clinic for consultation, where she was diagnosed with pancreatitis as well. According to the vet and medical exams, her health condition did not improve. Anima–February Sad News (C2516-June)!

<15-02-2023> Ten cats, C2511-January (M) and C2512-February (M), both around two years old, C2513-March (M), around eight years old, C2514-April (M), around two years old, C2515-May (F), C2516-June (M), C2517-July (F) and C2518-August (M), all around one year old, September (F), around two years old and C2520-October (F), around one year old, were rescued by Anima on 11th February 2021, from Macau Kennel as they were completely full. They were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. C2516-June was sent to a clinic for consultation in 2021, where he was diagnosed with FIV, Triaditis (inflammation of the pancreas), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and cholangitis (inflammation of the bile duct system). Anima–February Sad News (C2178-Safiya)!

<06-02-2023> C2178-Safiya (F), C2179-Kafi (M), C2180-Scipio (M), all around one year and seven months old back then, were rescued by Anima on 13th August 2019, from IAM due to lack of space. They have been living in our Cats’ Paradise. C2178-Safiya had nasal discharge with blood stain and was consulted at a clinic. Exam results showed positive for FCV and FHV. Also, a strange body was found inside her nasal cavity, which needed surgery. Besides all medical efforts in the clinic and Anima’s support later, C2178-Safiya passed away, today. R.I.P. our friend! She was sent to a clinic for consultation and health exams. According to the vet, not only there was a liver problem but also could might be FIP. Anima–January Sad News (C1819-Chewie)!

<20-01-2023> C1818-Leia (F), C1819-Chewie (F), C1820-Yoda (F) and C1821-Amilyn (F), were rescued by Anima on 3rd January 2018, after a call from IAM reporting that they did not have enough space for more cats. They were all desexed by IAM. All were welcomed in our Cat’s Paradise! Recently, C1819-Chewie was not eating and spirit seemed bad, getting lethargic and unable to walk. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, there is a reserved prognosis. Besides all medical efforts, Chewie passed away today in the clinic. R.I.P. our friend! Anima–January Sad News (C2164-Sindy)!

<19-01-2023> C2164-Sindy (F), around eight years old, was rescued by Anima on the 14th July 2019, after a call from a lady saying that her neighbor was hospitalized and passed her the key to his house, so she could take care of the place, where he had three cats and three turtles. The lady asked us to collect the cats, with owner’s authorization. All were welcomed in our Cat’s Paradise! Recently, C2164-Sindy vomited twice and she is not eating, with a weak behavior. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, Sindy has an intra-abdominal hemorrhage, suspected from her liver, as she was diagnosed with swollen liver before. Blood transfusion was considered to temporarily improve her condition, but might not be a long-term and sustainable solution if her internal bleeding is not stopped.
