Anima-September Sad News (706-Tommy)!

<15-09-2021> Our dog 706-Tommy, a senior dog of our shelter, has passed away today. 706-Tommy was sent to a clinic after being found lying on the ground breathing hard and panting. He had low body temperature, was dehydrated and kidney exam values were very high (SDMA). Tommy was put under IV fluid and had painkillers. Despite all medical efforts, he passed way. According to the vets, his cause of death was due to a head stroke coming from his chronic heart problem and in an advanced age there was nothing that could be done at right on that moment. Anima-September Sad News (158-Ace)!

<14-09-2021> 158-Ace, a senior dog of our shelter, has passed away today. He was sent to a clinic after having a seizure. His blood test results showed anaemia. X-ray and ultrasound exams were done, and both revealed a heart enlarge place which could cause other cardiac problems later. Also, his spleen had a mass. According to the vets, his cause of death was due to a tumour and in an advanced age there was nothing that could be done. We will remember him and all the love he gave to us during his lifetime. Anima-September Sad News (2389-Hac Chai)!

<09-09-2021> 2389-Hac Chai (M), a 10-year-old dog, was rescued by Anima on 15th August 2021, after having been found by a member of our staff trapped in an open sewage channel in Coloane. Hac Chai was found very weak, and his ears were rotten with maggots. We were able to find the owner who reported that Hac Chai had been disappeared for five days. He needed urgent care and Anima agreed to support part of the vet bills, as the owner claimed to be unable to afford them. Hac Chai has been hospitalized in a clinic under treatment. Unfortunately, after being discharged, 2389-Hac Chai passed away. According to a vet, infection on the wound and other issues might had damage some neurons responsible for vital functions. Anima–September Sad News (1063-Mui Mui)!

<05-09-2021> Sadly, our dog 1063-Mui-Mui has passed away today. Mui Mui was 12 years old and was in our shelter since 2013. Yesterday, she was found lethargic and with a high temperature. She was immediately sent to a clinic, where she remained hospitalized. During the night time, however, we were informed by the clinic that Mui Mui didn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Anima–August Sad News (784-Dragon)!

<29-08-2021> Sadly, our dog 784-Dragon has passed away today. Dragon was almost 10 years old and was in our shelter since 2012. For the last few months, he had been suffering from pericardial effusion, which vet doctors suspected to have been caused by a tumor. Despite the ongoing medical care, his health condition continued to deteriorate. In his last stage, he was already struggling to move and refused to eat. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Dragon was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! <08-08-2021> Sadly, our dog 1965-Madonna has passed away today. Madonna was suffering from a malignant tumor that has spread to several organs. Despite all medical care, the cancer was already in a final stage. Anima–July Sad News (C2081-Cesar)!

<26-07-2021> Our cat, C2081-Cesar was sent to a clinic for consultation today as he had vomited and seemed to have breathing difficulty this morning. According to the vet, Cesar had bloody abdominal fluid. An ultrasound showed swollen intestinal lymph nodes and it was suspected that Cesar has an intestinal tumour. Cesar's prognosis was not good and started to be under medical treatment. However, he couldn’t resist and passed away. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–July Rescue (C2600-Ballon)!

<25-07-2021> C2600-Ballon (M), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 25th July, 2021. Anima was contacted by CPSP at 4:18am reporting that a cat had fallen from a high-rise window into a balcony at ‘The Residencia Macau’. Ballon was rescued by our team in critical condition and immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed internal bleeding and a spleen rupture. Sadly, he would pass away in the clinic at 10:05am. R.I.P.! The owner recognized the cat and confirmed he fell out from an open window in her house. The body of C2600-Ballon was collected by IAM for autopsy to determine the cause, mode and manner of death. The owner was punished by a fine in accordance with the Animal Protection Law of Macau.
