Anima-February Sad News (C2258-Zuma)!

<20-02-2021> Sadly, our cat C2258-Zuma has passed away in a clinic today. Zuma’s health has always been delicate since he was rescued with a leg fracture in December, 2019. He had been hospitalized several times due to different health issues and this week suffered a seizure and was found lethargic. Zuma was sent to a clinic for consultation, where he stayed hospitalized as a blood test revealed that his health was deteriorating. Unfortunately, we were informed that Zuma passed away today. Anima-February Sad News (C2246-Rae)!

<18-02-2021> Sadly, our cat C2246-Rae (F) has passed away in a clinic today. Rae’s health condition was getting worst on these days. She had to stay under fluids, then stopped eating. After receiving treatment, her liver still was not working properly. C2246-Rae was sent to a clinic. According to the vet, it was seen a mass on Rae's liver. However, it could be a tumor or hematoma, and needed biopsy to confirm. The prognosis was bad as the mass was big and very hard to be removed. Rae also was tested positive for FCoV (Feline Corona Virus), developed into FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). She was hospitalized. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. Anima-February Sad News (390-Happy)!

<07-02-2021> Sadly, our dog 390-Happy has passed away in a clinic today. Happy’s health was unstable for the last days and she could not stand up at the beginning. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. According with the vet, she might have a tumor. Symptoms showed her suffering. Although a surgery was about to be performed, it was also suggested by the clinic to euthanize her to end the pain. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. Anima-February Sad News (C2397-Ken)!

<07-02-2021> Sadly, our cat C2397-Ken has passed away in a clinic today. Ken’s health deteriorated quickly as he had been suffering with heart disease, pancreatitis, anemia and renal failure. Ken received a blood transfusion in the beginning of this month and had been hospitalized under treatment. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, he didn’t survive. R.I.P. our dear friend! Anima–February Sad News (B196-Riva)

<06-02-2021> B196-Riva was rescued by Anima on 5 February, 2021 following a call from Ms. Choi reporting that a pigeon unable to fly was found on the sidewalk near The Municipal Affairs Bureau. Riva was collected by our Rescue Team and sent to a clinic. The pigeon had a broken wing and was hospitalized but, unfortunately, has passed away in the clinic today. R.I.P.! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (B198-Zora)!

<05-02-2021> A dove, B198-Zora, was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2021, following a call from Ms. Leung informing that she found B198-Zora unable to fly on the pavement near Av. do Infante Dom Henrique. She asked us help. Our rescue team went to the site, but Zora could not survive. The body was collected by Anima to be delivered in IAM. Thank you for the warning call, Ms. Leung! Anima–February Sad News (H043-Papaya)!

<03-02-2021> H043-Papaya (M), with a few more hamsters, were rescued by Anima on the 30th January 2020, after received a message from Facebook on 27th January, by a twelve years old youngster, Keiji telling that he can’t take care of his 28 hamsters anymore because they breed a lot and they are always fighting. He does not have enough money to buy food for them as well. He asked us to help. We collected them all and they were welcome in our Dog’s Shelter! <24-01-2021> C2494-Mono (M), a kitten around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 24th January, 2021 following a call from Mr. Lee reporting that a kitten had been found injured in Rua da Ribeira do Patane, probably hit by a car.
