Anima–May Sad News (B149-Lulu)!

<22-05-2020> B149-Lulu, was rescued by Anima on the 21st May 2020, after Mr. Peter, our SPP responsible at Jockey Club, brought a young egret B149-Lulu to our Dogs’ Shelter. Mr. Peter said the egret has been walking in the middle of the racecourse since yesterday and couldn’t fly. The egret Lulu was sent to a clinic for treatment until recover. Today, Anima was informed that B149-Lulu passed away in the clinic. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! <05-05-2020> B148-Tugtug, an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on the 5th May 2020, after our rescue team finish to check a house in Edf. Helen Garden, Coloane area. Anima–April Sad News (C2096-King)!

<30-04-2020> C2096-King (M), around nine years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 8th March 2019, after a call from her owner saying that she will need to go to an elderly care home and they will not allow her to bring King. Recently, he was very weak, lethargic and he was sent to a clinic. C2096-King was suffering already with abdominal fluid and URI (Upper Respiratory Infection), according to the vet. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (H024-Biscuit)!

<29-04-2020> H024-Biscuit (M) and H025-Bibbles (F), both around four months old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 15th February 2018, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting that there were two hamsters being abandoned in the street of Rua Central da Toi San. He asked us for help. H024-Biscuit and H025-Bibbles were collected by us and stayed in our shelter until now. Biscuit passed away in Anima today due to old age. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–April Sad News (C2244-Kole)!

<29-04-2020> C2244-Kole (M), around one and a half years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 29th November 2019, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that he found a cat and her babies living in the air vent of a parking garage. Mr. Leong managed to catch another male cat instead the mother. C2244-Kole has been with us until now. On 26th April 2020, Kole had a lot of nasal discharge, vomited blood and breathing hard. He was sent to a clinic and tested positive for feline corona virus, developed into Feline Infection Peritonitis (FIP). C2244-Kole passed away today in our Cats’ Paradise. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–April Sad News (C1358-Taz)!

<29-04-2020> C1358-Taz (F), around two years old, along with 13 other cats, were rescued by Anima on 15th December 2016, after a call from IAM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were all neutered and vaccinated in IAM. C1358-Taz has been in Anima and she was found skinny and lethargic with nasal and ocular discharge two days ago. Blood test results showed very high infections and kidney problems. C1358-Taz passed away today in our Cats’ Paradise! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–April Sad News (C314-Tash)!

<24-04-2020> C314-Tash (M), around eight years old now, was rescued by Anima on 24th February 2012. Recently, he was found skinny and not eating as usual. Blood test results showed anemia. C314Tash was sent to a clinic, where an ultrasound revealed an abnormal kidney volume. He needed to be hospitalized for treatment. Today, C314-Tash passed away in the clinic. R.I.P. my friend! <23-04-2020> 8 Puppies, 2258-Paige (M), 2259-Pax (M), 2260-Presley (M), 2261-Piers (M), 2262-Penley (M), 2263-Panya (F), 2264-Paza (F) and 2265-Pamina (F), all around 2 months old, were rescued by ANIMA on 18th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a puppy their sibling, 2257-Pitt, had been injured from a dog fight in Coloane, near Escola de São José de Ka-Ho. 2265-Pamina was sent to a clinic and her medical exams confirmed positive for parvovirus. Anima–Rescue and Sad News (SPP2228; SPP2219; SPP2218)!

<22-04-2020> The puppies, SPP2219-Julien and SPP2228-Judia, around five months old, were rescued by Anima on the 22nd April 2020, after a call from Ms. Choi reporting that the puppy Julien had vomited the food he ate which was dog dry food plus some rice. SPP2218-Juliana, another sibling, was found dead this morning. It was suspected that Juliana could have parvovirus due to the sudden death. Julien was tested for parvovirus and results showed positive. All the puppies were vaccinated before. SPP2228-Judia and SPP2219-Julien stay under treatment and separated from other dogs now.
