Anima–February Sad News (C1774-Goddess)!

<23-02-2018> C1774-Goddess (F), was rescued by Anima on 17th November 2017 when was seven months old, after a call from Ms. Michele reporting that she found a cat on the street near Nam San. The cat was half covered in glue and needed medical support. She brought C1774-Goddess to us. C1774-Goddess was checked by our vet and  the gluewas removed  from the body and stayed at our Cats Paradise. On 14th February 2018 C1774-Goddess had nasal and ocular discharge. She was getting skinny, dehydrated and in low temperature. She was sent to a clinic for consultation. The blood test showed she had severe renal problem, pancreatitis and low red blood cells. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help...

Anima–February Sad News (SPPC1838-Laurel)!

<22-02-2018> SPPC1838-Laurel (F) and SPPC1837-Sara (F), under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 5th February 2018 through Michele when both were around seven months old. They were found sick, vomiting and not eating at that time. SPPC1837-Sara was anemic with renal problem and infection. SPPC1838-Laurel had ocular and nasal discharge. Both had stayed at Cat Paradise for treatment since then. SPPC1838-Laurel was recently rechecked by our vet. She was having diarrhea, nasal discharge and fever. She was put under fluid dripping. However her situation was on and off and she seemed in good spirit in the past few days. Unfortunately we found SPPC-Laurel passed away this morning. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–February Sad News (B089-Murga)!

<20-02-2018> B089-Murga was rescued by Anima on 15th February 2018, after a call from Ms. Ashley reporting that a pigeon B089-Murga was found in Rampa dos Cavaleiros and was unable to fly. She asked us for help. B089-Murga was sent to a clinic. B089-Murga stayed for observation and needed force feeding as it was still young. Unfortunately we were informed that B089-Murga passed away in the clinic this morning. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima- February Sad News (1966-Mekenna)!

<18-02-2018> The mother dog, 1965-Madonna (F), at that time around two years old, with her three puppies, 1966-Mekenna (F), 1967-Maddox (M) and 1968-Mack (M), at that time all around two weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 6th January 2018, after a call from our rescue team reporting that they found a dog that gave birth  during their daily feeding in a site. 1965-Madonna and her puppies had stayed with us since that time. Unfortunately 1966-Mekenna was found dead this morning. She passed away without any symptom. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–February Sad News (C1391-Waffles)!

<16-02-2018> C1391-Waffles (F), was rescued by Anima on 19th January 2017 when she was around nine months old, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. C1391-Waffles had stayed with us since that time. On 1st February C1391-Waffles was found having ocular discharge and being skinny. She was under medication and fluid dripping. However she was found shaking and could not move yesterday. There was nothing to do to improve her situation. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–February Sad News (C1831-Zaire)!

<16-02-2018> C1831-Zaire (M), was rescued by Anima on 30th January 2018, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. C1831-Zaire had stayed with us since that time. On 14th February he was found refusing to eat due to nose congestion, we put him under dripping. However he was found unable to stand and was sleeping in the cat toilet this morning. He was crying in pain and could not control his stool. He was in low temperature, having seizures and was difficult in breathing. The blood test showed that he had liver problem. Unfortunately he passed away. R.I.P. my friend! <15-02-2018> C234-Runaway (F), was rescued by Anima on 1st March 2011 when she was around eight months old- She had stayed with us since that time. She was found today very weak and could not walk properly. She was in low temperature and dehydrated. The blood test showed C234-Runaway had severe renal problem. Anima–February Sad News (SPP1987-Miner)!

<15-02-2018> SPP1987-Miner (M), SPP1986-Midian (M) and SPP1985-Marika (M), under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018 when they were around two years old, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs but some of them were sick . SPP1985-Marika and SPP1986-Midian had passed away due to Canine Distemper. SPP1989-Miner had Canine Distemper and stayed at a clinic for treatment. He also did an x-ray as he had difficulty to breathe. The report showed that his intestine was inside the chest. According to the vet, SPP1987-Miner had to receive a surgery in order to avoid further damage to other internal organs in his body. The surgery could be arranged only when he had recovered from the Canine Distemper. Unfortunately he passed away today due to upper respiratory tract infection. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–February Sad News (SPPC1837-Sara)!

<10-02-2018> SPPC1837-Sara (F) and SPPC1838-Laurel (F), both around seven months old,  under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 4th February 2018 through Michele. They were found sick, vomiting and not eating. The blood test showed SPPC1837-Sara was anemic with renal problem and infection. She was also dehydrated and with hypothermia. Anima–February Sad News (1134-Tidy)!

<09-02-2018> 1134-Tidy (M), was rescued by Anima on 25 August 2013 when he was around 8 years old. He was found abandoned in Rua Cinco de Outubro and was almost caught by a car.  He was adopted by Ms. Wong on 12th April 2015.
