Anima–February Sad News (604-Si Si)!

<08-02-2018> Si Si was around ten years old now and had been with us since long time ago! 604-Si Si (F), a Husky dog, was rescued by Anima on 3rd December 2010 when she was around two years old. She was caught by a car near the Jockey Club area and had to submit to a surgery to cut one of the legs and repair the others. She was abandoned by the family. Recently we found Si Si inappetence, got pasty diarrhea, inflamed anus and vulva. She was unable to move and stand yesterday. We sent her to a clinic and the result showed that she has kidney problem and started to have nerve problem. She was suffering and was not improving. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima,...

Anima–February Sad News (SPP1989-Milton)!

<03-02-2018> SPP1989-Milton (M), under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018 when he was around four months old, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in an area but some of them were sick. SPP1989-Milton did an X-ray as he has difficulty in breathing. The result showed that he had pneumonia. He stayed in the clinic for treatment and observation. Unfortunately SPP1989-Milton passed away this morning in clinic due to severe pneumonia. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–February Sad News (C1291-Hac Bak)!

<02-02-2018> C1291-Hac Bak (M), was rescued by Anima on 24th September 2016 when he was 11 years old, after a call from Ms. Fong referring that an old man lived with his six cats in Edf. Man Fong and they were forced to move out of the apartment. All of his belongings were thrown out to the street including his cats. We collected some of his cats and some had run away at that time. C1291-Hac Bak has been having upper respiratory tract infection since 1st January 2018. He was sent to a clinic for treatment and was diagnosed with cat flu. On 31st January he had improved a lot and returned to us. However he was not eating since coming back. He was found shaking, difficult in breathing, with nasal discharge and jaundice. Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (1992-Bernie)!

<01-02-2018> 1991-Bao (F) and 1992-Bernie (F), at that time around 1.5 months old, were rescued by our rescue team on 1st February 2018 during their daily feeding somewhere in Coloane. One of the puppies, 1992-Bernie had seizure and suspected to have canine distemper, so we collected both of them. 1991-Bao and 1992-Bernie were sent to a clinic for checking. Both of them had Canine Distemper. As 1992-Bernie had seizure and was suffering in pain, there was nothing to do to improve her situation. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–February Sad News (SPP1941-Jaleh)!

<01-02-2018> SPP1941-Jaleh (F), SPP1939-Jahid (M) and SPP1940-Jagna (F), all were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 22nd November 2017 when they were around seven months old at that time. Ms. Choi is responsible for them in that area. On 1st February 2018 we received a call from Mr. Augusto from ARTM reporting that a dead body of a black dog was found near the New Prison in Coloane. He said that a black dog was crashed by a heavy truck and the lower body was destroyed. When our rescue team arrived, it was hard to identify the dog. We contacted Ms. Choi as we suspected the dog may be SPP1941-Jaleh. According to Ms. Choi, SPP1941-Jaleh had been missing for around a month already. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–January Sad News (C1504-Biscuit)!

<31-01-2018> C1504-Biscuit (M), was rescued by Anima on 24th April 2017, when he was around two years old, after a call from Mr. Lau reporting that a cat was found wandering outside the building where he lived, on Estrada de Coelho do Amaral, since one month ago. He couldn’t find the owner of C1504-Biscuit and he had been feeding C1504-Biscuit on the street. But Mr. Lau didn’t want him living on the street anymore, so he caught C1504-Biscuit and brought to Cat Paradise. C1504-Biscuit was sent to our clinic and de-wormed. He stayed with us since that day. C1504-Biscuit started getting sick and dehydrated two weeks ago and had been under medication. He refused to eat and needed to force feeding every day. Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1990-Bongo)!

<31-01-2018> SPP1990-Bongo (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 31th January 2018, after a call from our staff reporting that a dog body was found near our entrance. SPP1990-Bongo was under our Special Protection Program since 29th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a dog was found unable to move in a site. SPP1990-Bongo had a fight and needed few stitches to close up the wound. He was returned to his place after surgery and medication prescribed. Ms. Peng was responsible for him in that area. January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1985-SPP1989)!

<28-01-2018> SPP1985-Marika (F), around four years old, SPP1986-Midian (M) and SPP1987-Miner (M), both around two years old, SPP1988-Miles (M), around one year old, SPP1989-Milton (M), around four months old, under our Special Protection Program now, were rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in an area but some of them seems sick recently. SPP1985-Marika was found under a car and looked unconscious, the others have nasal and ocular discharges with coughing. She was sent to a clinic immediately and the distemper test showed positive. According to the vet, there’s nothing we could do for her as the virus already attacked her nervous system, brain and spinal cord. SPP1985-Marika started having convulsions, seizures and paralysis. Anima–January Sad News (C1511-Olsen)!

<27-01-2018> C1511-Olsen (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on the 2nd May 2017, after a call from Ms. Kan, reporting that Olsen entered in the terrace of her building at Jardins de Lisboa. She asked us to help. C1511-Olsen was not easy to catch. We set up a cat trap there as C1511-Olsen could fall down if we try to catch him as he was scared. Ms. Kan contacted us on 2nd May informing that C1511-Olsen entered in the trap. C1511-Olsen was brought to Anima, checked and de-wormed. He stayed with us since that day. C1511-Olsen was found getting skinny one week ago. Blood test showed that he had infection and anemia. He had been under treatment but his condition was getting worse. C1511-Olsen was sent to a clinic three days ago and he had stayed there to continue the treatment. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it. R.I.P. my friend! Please help...
